Big Brother, Season 28, Week 8, Sunday Recap: No HoH, No Veto, No Block Buster – Someone Goes Home

Big Brother’s Season 28 continues with the twists, which is exactly what happened during the Sunday, August 30 episode. With feeds down, there was a shocking twist, so let’s chat about what went down during the show.

Shocking Twist

The houseguests were sent back to the year 1,000 (to celebrate 1,000 episodes of Big Brother) to participate in a series of competitions to see who would be voted out next. It was also revealed that this houseguest would be the first person to sit on the jury.

There will be no Head of Household (HoH) for week 8; no Power of Veto; no Block Buster.

Before the competition took place on Sunday, as the live feeds were down, fans were shown Melody’s breakdown after Mallory was evicted.

Barrett was also seen telling fans in the confessional that he wasn’t feeling great about his alliance with Drew or the Icons anymore.

Back to the competition, the houseguests are transported to the Medieval era (a.k.a. the backyard) and everything is decorated appropriately.

Former houseguest, Britney, arrives with a ‘royal proclamation’ telling everyone that the HoH comp has been cancelled and before the night is over, someone will be voted out.

Competition Time

Britney goes on to explain that there will be a series of competitions for ‘Safety Stones’. Each round of challenges, which would be four, gives players in the challenge a chance to secure their own safety.

With that said, the winner in each respective challenge also determines who competes in the subsequent round.

Dee won the first round, guaranteeing her safety, and she was able to save another person; she chose Devens. She also got to choose who competed in the first challenge.

She chose Haley and Drew, and told both of them that they had to give Angela a ‘Safety Stone’ if they won to save her. Barrett wasn’t exactly happy that Dee chose Haley instead of him.

What’s Next?!

BB alum Cody shows up for Drew and Haley’s competition, which Drew won. While Melody pleaded with him to go against the Icons, Drew ultimately did exactly what they asked: gave the ‘Safety Stone’ to Angela and put Barrett into the competition against Haley.

Big Brother alum Tiffany hosted this round of competition. In the end, Barrett scored the win over Haley. The show ended with the information that Barrett would have to choose two people from the remaining house guests who weren’t safe to go up against Haley.

This competition winner would be given big power by ultimately deciding who is safe and who leaves the BB house!

Sunday’s show closed without fans seeing who Barrett selected, so fans will have to tune in during the Wednesday, September 2 show to find out what went down!

Who will survive and stay in the house, and who will leave? Only time will tell! Comment below on this year’s BB 28, and visit SOS often for all the best news, spoilers, and updates in the land of reality TV.
