B&B Spoilers: Deacon’s Shocking Motive Exposed – Is He Using Taylor Just Like Sheila?

The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers: Deacon's Waited Two Minutes After Divorcing Sheila To Propose To TaylorThe Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) is impulsive. He claimed to have reached a moment of maturity just before presenting an engagement ring to Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig).

Yes, it’s been months since he asked Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) for a divorce. She made him wait for a while, but it wasn’t that long until she agreed to sign the legal paperwork. It has felt like two minutes in soap-time.

As numerous characters have repeatedly stated, Sheila had a condition when granting Deacon his freedom. All she wanted was for the woman who stole her husband to make a pitch to Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) on her behalf. Was that so wrong?

Sheila Carter Is The Only Injured Party

Deacon’s children treated his ex-wife like she was sub-human. Hope Logan Spencer (Annika Noelle) and Deke Sharpe (Harrison Cone) weren’t open to Sheila’s repeated attempts to get to know them.

That was one factor that helped convince Deacon that he had to move on. A more direct assessment of that scenario had him dropping Sheila because he wanted to replace her with a woman who had credibility.

Taylor violated the ethical boundaries that any psychiatrist abides by. This was from the world-renowned doctor who also spoke deceptively with Sheila during the period when she was cheating with Deacon.

Taylor Hayes Was Proven Right

Taylor was fearful of Sheila but also continued to say that she evolved. Some of the good doctor’s colleagues might have said she was trying to will what she wanted into existence so that Sheila’s split from Deacon would go well.

In fact, the divorce did go smoothly. Sheila expressed her anguish and verbally lashed out at Deacon and Taylor. But no violence led to anyone being hurt, as B&B’s most notorious villain’s rap sheet implied would happen.

So, Deacon was freed, and he and Taylor became a public couple. But that just happened recently. It appeared as though he might pop the question by Christmas at the earliest or maybe by next St. Valentine’s Day.

Deacon Sharpe Wants What He Wants

Taylor offers Deacon prestige. In his mind, if he can marry her, then he’s realized what he was striving for after being released from prison.

Coming all the way back from ex-con status to marry someone like Taylor is rather remarkable. Of course, his connection with Sheila was totally unexpected as well.

It’s a shame that B&B made the decision to end Deacon and Sheila. Sharpe and Brown were outstanding scene partners, with their characters being two of the most unpredictable pairings that worked so well.

Deacon arguably, if not actually, used Sheila. She helped rehabilitate him while falling in love. Was he ever truly in love with her, or was that attraction one of timing and necessity?

Maybe that’s something Taylor will consider as she looks at his ring, regardless of whether she puts it on or agrees to marry him.
