Amy Duggar Reveals What She Told Alleged Victim After Claims Against Cousin Joseph Duggar

Amy Duggar King is once again speaking up about the particulars of Joseph Duggar’s upcoming child molestation case.

Earlier this year, Joseph was arrested and released on bond for molesting a then-9-year-old and grazing her genitals during a vacation.

Joseph has since denied these accusations, but Amy already knows which side of the court she wants to swing for.

Now 14, Joseph Duggar’s alleged victim is fighting for justice, alongside her family. On her side are Amy Duggar King and Kendra Duggar’s parents.

On her latest podcast appearance, Amy confirmed that she did reach out to contact Joseph’s accuser and advise her to be strong.

“I don’t want to speak for her or anything like that, but I will just tell you when I talked to this person—we’re just going to be respectful of the situation since she’s still so young—but I just gave her hope,” Amy said during her appearance on the July 14 episode of The Sarah Fraser Show. “I said, ‘This doesn’t have to destroy you. It really truly doesn’t.’”

“I just tried to offer her encouragement and I told her that if she ever just needed a safe place to talk, that I’m here and she just said, ‘Thank you so much,’” the 39-year-old added.

She further shared her hopes that the alleged victim will be able to “sleep at night” and “find healing.” During their conversation, Amy told the young girl to not neglect to seek mental health counseling, because of “how important it is to go and to talk it out loud and to clear her conscience.”

Amy has been recently critical of her Duggar cousins, following Joseph and Kendra’s arrests. In an Instagram post, she accused Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar of prioritizing the male children, which led to a number of them growing up with a twisted mindset.

Joseph’s eldest sibling, Josh Duggar, is currently serving a 12-year sentence for possessing child abuse content.
