Adva Lavie, Dating App Theft Suspect’s Trial Halted After Court Outburst

Adva Lavie, AKA Mia Ventura, is on trial in Los Angeles County, facing multiple felony charges for allegedly using dating apps to get close to people, and then stealing from them. But on Wednesday, the trial was stopped. Read on for details.

Shouting In Court

ABC7 LA reported that the Israeli model, who also goes by the names Shoshana and Shana, was heard yelling in court.

The outlet said, “Lavie was heard in the courtroom making several statements, including, ‘Just deport me back to Israel,’ ‘They broke my rib. Just send me home,’ ‘They’re beating me up,’ and ‘I can’t survive in jail. I can’t even stand.'”

According to The Independent, the case was stopped so she could be evaluated for mental competency. The report noted that “Lavie is now scheduled to appear Sept. 9 at the Mental Health Courthouse in Hollywood.”

A Previous Denial

The defense team for Lavie had earlier requested a mental health diversion, and Judge Keith ordered that she remain in jail after turning it down. She had also allegedly removed her ankle monitor and attempted to evade authorities.

At the time, the defense argued that “childhood sexual trauma and psychiatric diagnoses, including post-traumatic stress disorder, qualified Lavie for court-ordered treatment instead of incarceration.”

Why Was She Arrested?

Adva Lavie, an OnlyFans content creator was suspected of stealing and breaking into homes in Los Angeles and Riverside counties. The alleged crimes happened during a period of about a year spanning late 2025 and 2026.

Allegedly, she targeted older, wealthy men and also some women in a younger age bracket. The alleged thefts included expensive watches, cash and other valuables.

One count mentions an amount of $121,500. If she is found guilty, she could face up to 11 years in prison.

Others involved included Stephen Cloobeck, who was accused of trying to help Adva and faced charges of witness tampering. He pleaded not guilty.
