1000-LB Sisters: Amy Slaton’s Surgery Bombshell – Huge Transformation Ahead

Amy and Tammy Slaton just returned to TLC with all new episodes of their hit reality show 1000-LB Sisters.  Since the show premiered in 2020, the Slaton Sisters have lost hundreds of pounds.

The Kentucky natives are barely recognizable and it’s hard not to tune in and keep rooting for them on their weight loss journey.

Amy Slaton Has Something To Celebrate

In early seasons of 1000-LB Sisters, Tammy and Amy were off to a rocky start in their weight loss journeys.  In 2019, Amy Slaton underwent weight-loss surgery and began shedding the pounds.

Then she went a little rogue and had two babies, but she got back on the wagon and managed to shed 200 more pounds.

On the Tuesday September 8 episode of 1000 LB Sisters, Amy got some exciting news.  She joined Dr. Li via video chat and learned that she had been approved for skin removal surgery.  In fact her doctor said that she is “the perfect candidate!”

During Amy’s video cha with her plastic surgeon, the reality star explained, “It’s very exciting but it’ll be awkward at first getting used to no belly.  I’m just curious on how I look. Am I gonna love myself? Is my outer duckling gonna match my inner swan? Or my ugly duckling gonna match my ugly inside?”

Excited Amy added, “Her saying you’re approved on the spot is f—ing fantastic news and I’m ready to go on with it.  I’m ready to get this s— cut off me now.”

Last year on 1000-LB Sisters, Amy’s sister Tammy Slaton underwent the same surgery.  After she lost 500 pounds, Tammy had almost 20 pounds of excess skin removed in January 2025.  Since the sisters’ premiere on TLC in 2020, they look like completely different people!
