Y&R Spoilers: Did Traci Really Fall In Love With Alan?

As it stands now, Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland)believes the last year of her life has been a lie and she fell in love with a man who never really existed.

She looked forward to a new life with Alan Laurent (Christopher Cousins), but the man who proposed to her turned out to be his unhinged brother, Martin.

Traci is now questioning everything. How could she have been so naive and foolish? How could she not have seen there was an imposter before her?

She had dreamed of a man like Alan for so long; perhaps she just wanted to believe he was a dream come true for her, but perhaps he really was.

The Good News Traci Needs?

Traci now thinks that Alan is the one who died when the Laurent twins went over that balcony in Paris last year but what if nobody died and Alan really is the man she fell in love with?

Alan could have had Martin placed somewhere that nursed him back to health, then he escaped, kidnapped Alan, and took his place.

It stands to reason that Martin was only the man who had proposed to Traci, but that Alan is still out there and also had a ring ready until Martin switched places with him.

Martin certainly wouldn’t give away his game to the police, but Alan could escape and contact Traci, causing more confusion than ever.

The switch could have taken place when Traci and Alan kept missing one another in different cities during some alleged flight delays. The delays might all have been a ruse so that Martin could pull off the twist.

Now that Traci is ready to leave town to get some space and some closure, she might find the answers she’s been looking for in Paris. That might be who Martin was visiting when he was just there.

That could lead Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and Sharon Collins (Sharon Case) to also get the answers they’ve been searching for…
