‘Y&R’ Spoilers: Claire Holds All the Cards — Audra Plots Her Next Move

The Young and the Restless spoilers indicate that Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) is aware of information about Audra Cortes (Zuleyka Silver), including the explosive reason why her last name isn’t Charles.

Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) offered Claire a sanitized backstory after their romantic connection in Los Angeles, California. He later told Audra what happened so that he could control their story.

But Claire asked Holden if he was holding back information about what really happened. He didn’t get a chance to fully respond because Audra walked into Crimson Lights and purposely interrupted the new lovebirds.

Audra Cortes Lacks Impulse Control

Knowing that Holden revealed damaging information didn’t prevent Audra from verbally and physically going at Claire. Her lack of impulse control didn’t scare Erin’s character because of her sordid history.

Audra resents Claire for a simple reason. She fell for Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), and he didn’t want to expand their transactional relationship, but then fell in love with Claire.

Jealousy is one of the world’s oldest drama foundations. Audra can’t stand Claire, believing that Kyle, the Abbotts, and the Newmans have forgiven her criminal past but won’t give Silver’s alter ego a chance.

Holden Novak Is The Middleman

Holden wants nothing to do with Audra, but that wasn’t true when he first appeared in GC.

Devoted viewers recall that Damian Kane (Jermaine Rivers) appeared to be a new character with staying power but was actually a plot vehicle that introduced his best friend to viewers.

Audra was soon revealed as someone Holden knew when they both lived in Los Angeles, California. Their brief dialogue, referencing the trouble Audra was in during the period when both people weren’t on this soap, was intriguing.

Months later, Holden is in love with Claire and has realized an unexpected major advance in his efforts to win her heart while they were touring LA. But he knows that being put as the middleman between the two ladies will be a losing proposition.

So, the man Audra paid off with a one-hundred-thousand-dollar thank you is trying to manage a seemingly uncontrollable problem.

Claire Newman Is Bound To Know Everything

Claire has an advantage that Audra can’t match. Holden cares deeply for her and has now affirmed reciprocation.

It stands to reason that either Holden will come fully clean to her about what happened with Audra in LA or Claire will push for that information and confirm it on her own. Assuming either proves true, Audra could face legal issues and find herself unemployable in GC.

Holden needs to be careful because he could instantly lose Claire’s trust if he decides not to tell her what happened. His choice will be to put his faith in Claire or to convince himself that Audra will suddenly change her personality, which is unrealistic, to put it lightly.
