Following Prince Harry’s 52-minute meeting with the King – the first in over 19 months – the media managed to get their hands on a variety of news stories regarding what went down at Clarence House during that time.

One of these leaks saw the media reporting on Harry’s reaction to his supposed “cold” and “official” reception at the meeting. This was a story that had Harry immediately appoint his spokesperson to deny the rumors.

But really, why are we even talking about men in grey suits in the first place.

Well, like I already hinted in the introduction part of this article, Harry believes that there are “sources” actively working to sabotage his reconciliation with his father.

These “sources” were compared to the men in grey suit Harry previously blamed for leaks, and voila, we have our meme of the week.

But really, Harry’s spokesperson wants us to know that the Duke was not treated like an outsider in his father’s own house. Who then spread the news that Harry wasn’t comfortable at the meet-cute (for lack of words)?

I’m going to have to quote the spokesperson here: “Recent reporting of The Duke’s view of the tone of the meeting is categorically false.

The quotes attributed to him are pure invention fed, one can only assume, by sources intent on sabotaging any reconciliation between father and son. Presumably, those same sources have also chosen to disclose that gifts were exchanged.”

In addition to this, the spokesperson clarified that while Prince Harry did gift the King a portrait, it did not feature him nor his wife.

“While we would have preferred such details to remain private, for the sake of clarity, we can confirm that a framed photograph was handed over, however, the image did not contain the Duke and Duchess.”

Yeah, right.
