‘Wednesday’ Season 3 Is Officially Happening, and It’s Heading Deeper into Nevermore’s Secrets

Our favorite goth girl is soon returning to our screens, and the excitement is palpable. Already, we’ve had thrilling teasers and a six minute glimpse into the horrors we’re going to witness in the upcoming season.

But apparently, Netflix is not stopping there, because they’ve just greenlit a third season. Here’s everything we know about the returning phenomenon.

What Can We Expect From ‘Wednesday’ Season 2

On Aug. 6, the long wait that Wednesday Heads — my nickname for the fandom – have endured will come to an end with the first part of the show dropping.

Perhaps we will finally get to understand what they meant by Tyler turning into a Hyde just when Wednesday’s car was driving past.

Yes, the excitement to dive right back into the wonderfully weird world of ‘Wednesday’ still exists, and that has driven Netflix to make a rare decision; greenlight a third season even before the second drops.

I mean, it wasn’t like it was a particularly hard decision, since ‘Wednesday’ remains the most-viewed English-language series on Netflix of all time.

But season two is on a mission to eclipse the first, at least according to Gough, who promises more complex plotlines. “We think Season 2 is funnier as well!” co-creator Alfred Gough promises.

Good to know, because Wednesday’s biting tongue has always been to die for. So I guess it’s a happy thing to know we won’t be missing it this season.

‘Wednesday’ Creator Spills Goals For Hit Show’s Recently Greenlit Third Season

Speaking on what the future entails for ‘Wednesday,’ her extended family and her world, co-creator and showrunner Alfred Gough said that the format is going to mirror the precedence they’ve already set in the very first season.

“Our goal for Season 3 is the same as it is for every season: to make it the best season of Wednesday we possibly can,” says Gough. “We want to continue digging deeper into our characters while expanding the world of Nevermore and Wednesday.”

Millar adds, “We will be seeing more Addams Family members and learning more family secrets in Season 3!”
