Savannah Chrisley Has Been Advocating For Her Parents Since January 2023

Savannah Chrisley has been pushing for their release since their imprisonment in January 2023; earlier this year, she contacted Trump for a pardon after a three-judge panel upheld their conviction last summer.

“Thank you so much, Mr. President,” Savannah was heard saying during the call; her brother Chase, in tears, added, “I just want to say thank you for bringing my parents back.” Trump told Savannah and Chase to send his “regards and wish them a good life” to their parents; “They were given pretty harsh treatment from what I’m hearing, pretty harsh treatment.”

“Congratulate your parents; I hear they’re wonderful people, this should not have happened; they have good children — you’re not kids anymore, but I’ll say it anyway. They have good children, don’t they, huh?”

Alice Marie Johnson Also Advocated For The Chrisleys, Per President Trump

Alice Marie Johnson stood behind Trump, the person whose drug sentence he reduced during his first term and who he named as his pardon czar in February.

Trump mentioned to Savannah and Chase, “Alice played a significant role in this;” after Trump’s call, Savannah shared a video on her Instagram.

She revealed that she received a call from the president while entering a Sam’s Club, informing her that he was signing pardon papers for her parents.

“So, my parents are coming home tonight or tomorrow, and I still can’t believe it’s happening!” she said excitedly. She expressed her “eternal gratitude” to Trump, his administration, her lawyers, and everyone else who “dedicated countless hours” to ensure her parents’ return home.

“My parents are getting a fresh start!” she said, adding that she “promised to support you and your administration, revealing the corruption and continuing to fight for the men and women in prison. Thank you, thank you, thank you, and I will show my gratitude to everyone I meet, so I thank God for a president like Donald J. Trump. Thank you, God, for a president who aims to reunite families and cares for people, taking the time to call me from the Oval Office.”

In July 2024, Savannah spoke at the Republican National Convention, claiming that her family had been “targeted by rogue prosecutors in Fulton County.” Prosecutors stated that the couple evaded their obligation to repay when Todd Chrisley filed for bankruptcy, leaving over $20 million in unpaid loans.

Pardons Will Be Forthcoming

A White House official, who wished to remain anonymous while discussing decisions not yet made public, mentioned that the pardons would be coming, as reported by The Associated Press.

The attorney for the Chrisleys, Alex Little, stated that the pardon “rectifies a significant injustice and reunites two loving parents with their family and community.

President Trump acknowledged what we have been asserting from the start: Todd and Julie were targeted due to their conservative beliefs and high visibility.

Their prosecution was marred by several constitutional breaches and political bias;” he continued, “Todd and Julie’s situation exemplifies why the pardon power is necessary.

Thanks to President Trump, the Chrisley family can now start the process of healing and rebuilding their lives;” this call came two weeks after Lara Trump’s interview with Savannah on Fox News.
