The Voice: Kelsea Ballerini Reveals If She Will ReturnThe Voice Season 27 finale just aired on NBC on May 20, 2025.  The celeb judges for the last season included John Legend, Michael Bublé, Kelsea Ballerini, and Adam Levine. 

But, fan fave Kelsea Ballerini revealed she won’t be back next season.  Here’s what we know so far about Ballerini’s future on the show.  Warning The Voice spoilers ahead…

On May 29, Kelsea Ballerini appeared on an episode of “Today With Jenna And Friends.”  The country music singer dished on her season of The Voice, the finale, and whether or not she will be returning to the NBC reality TV competition.  Sadly, it doesn’t look like Ballerini will be returning any time soon.  

Kelsea Ballerini Talks Being On The Voice

Kelsea explained on the talk show, “Never say never.  I think it’s all about timing and I think part of the reason that I loved the experience, it was just the perfect time for me to go do that.  So, yeah, maybe down the road, for sure!”

Kelsea Ballerini had a blast on the Voice as a coach, it actually wasn’t her first time appearing on the series.  In 2019 Ballerini appeared on The Voice briefly as an advisor for Kelly Clarkson’s team. 

Then in 2021 she returned to The Voice to replace her pal Kelly Clarkson and subbed as a coach for her team in a few episodes.  

It doesn’t sound like Kelsea had any issues at the TV show, it’s just nearly impossible to work out logistics with a singer who is in their prime and releasing new music regularly and performing at sold out shows. 

The Voice Season 28 Judges List

Even though Ballerini isn’t returning to The Voice next season, the network has an impressive judge’s panel lined up for fans. 

NBC revealed that the Season 28 judge’s panel will include, Reba McEntire, Snoop Dogg, Michael Buble, and Niall Horan.
