‘Survivor’ 49 Episode 4 Spoilers Preview: Drop Those Buffs!

As Survivor 49 continues, Episode 3 was interesting to say the least! The Kele (blue) tribe imploded as they took two losses.

First,  Jake left mid-show, after a black and white striped sea krait (snake) bit him (don’t worry, he ended up being okay), and Jeremiah was voted out at tribal council when the blue team lost yet another challenge. Still, what’s happening during Episode 4? Time to find out!

Next Time On Survivor …

The CBS reality show released its promo for Episode 4 after Episode 3, and here’s the scoop. Jeff Probst will tell the remaining players in the game to “drop their buffs”, as there will be a shakeup between the teams.

It makes sense, after all, the blue tribe has been left to only two people, Alex and Sophi, so challenges wouldn’t exactly be fair.

The Survivor promo for Episode 4 shows viewers a sneak peek of some of the remaining players in different buffs, so fans should expect a different dynamic within tribes moving forward.

The bad news is, alliances will be shaken up, and the good news is, this means plenty of drama and intrigue as everyone gets readjusted to their new normal and surroundings.

The “Rare” Medical Emergency

Things definitely felt dicey during Episode 3 after Jake was bitten by that snake while he was on the beach. Interestingly enough, this is an unprecedented event for Survivor, as the sea krait has a venom that is 10 times more powerful than a regular rattle snake.

These bites need to be looked at right away, and that’s exactly what happened as the medical team took immediate action.

While Jake ended up having a “dry bite” from the sea krait, meaning no venom was transferred, Dr. Barry made the call to have him exit from the game.

Better to be safe than sorry, and as Jake did mention he had a child on the way. Better to be there to watch your kid grow up versus playing Survivor with a chance you might be poisoned, right?
