Whitney Way Thore Slams Fake AI Baby Announcement

This week, Whitney took to her Instagram and let her followers know she’s unhappy about AI being used to announce her pregnancy. She shared a photo that actually looked quite realistic. While it’s unclear who made the image, it’s been doing the social media rounds.

In her caption, Whitney Way Thore lectured her followers. In part, she said:

I hate to even acknowledge this, but after thousands of messages, comments, and real-life inquiries…This first image is AI-generated. It was made from the second image, which I posted in January and is real. I don’t know who made the AI image or why they posted it everywhere claiming I was pregnant. 

The troubling part is that the photo seems so realistic that the TLC star noted, “It is scary because at first glance, just looking at my body and face, I might also question if this was a real photo.”

A Caution Against First Impressions

The daughter of Glenn Thore went on to explain how nowadays, people need to be aware of AI manipulation. She added, “The internet isn’t real,” and “Internet use (and life) requires critical thinking.”

Her genuine feelings came through loud and clear. The reality TV star reminded her followers, “I can promise you that no one who is in my real life is writing about me on the internet.” She then noted how disturbing it is that “hundreds of people” make claims on her behalf.

She also called out the cruelty of the situation, adding, “It’s kind of wild to harass a woman with PCOS and fertility issues about whether she’s pregnant or not on a public forum.” Finally, she made it clear that only she can reveal any such pregnancy details, stating, “If and when I’m ready to share, I will.”
