Prince William Has A Firm Rejection Of Prince Harry’s Olive Branch

Prince William is a central figure in Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s attempts at reconciliation. A recent offer from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex was allegedly met with a lack of interest from the Prince of Wales. Read on to find out more.

The Offer Of A Diary

Royal commentator Neil Sean, in his Tuesday YouTube vlog on Daily News Headlines, shone a light on the situation. Sean suggested that Harry and Meghan’s proposal to share their diary was an attempt to mend their relationship with Prince William, which could be taken as a public “apology.”

However, Sean dissed the move in his report on Prince William’s response: “Prince William, I can tell you 100% totally ignored [it], not interested. Zip it. Move on. Not bothered.” Naturally, the alleged refusal only underlines the heir’s apparent unwillingness to engage with the self-proclaimed “Spare.”

Allegedly, the Sussex offer was to avoid any scheduling clashes with official royal engagements. Mostly, they related to the King or Prince William and Catherine. The concern might have arisen after Prince Harry’s Angolan landmines walk. Actually, it didn’t gain much traction, and it overlapped with with Queen Camilla’s schedule. Neil Sean described the timing as “rather cruel and rather disingenuous.”

William Seems Unmoved

Despite the efforts by Prince Harry and Meghan to push for cooperation and collaboration, Prince William seems unmoved. Neil Sean emphasized that “They both realize…that without the British monarchy, very, very few people are interested.” Of course, he was talking about the alleged struggles that confront Harry and Meghan’s independent ventures.

Sean also touched on the probable lack of meaningful engagements in Harry’s current calendar. In fact, he rather humorously remarked that a typical diary entry might read: “Harry goes for a bike ride at 10:20, back home staring at chickens.”

Royal Protocol

Prince William’s rejection seems to line up with the established hierarchy within the Royal Family. As Neil noted, Prince William and Catherine, alongside the King and Queen, “will always have the higher ground and the position of power.”

He concluded that Harry’s latest initiative, allegedly dreamed up by his new PR team, was simply concocted to reverse their declining influence.

Unfortunately for him, Prince William is showing his popular stance as being ready to stand out as a capable leader of the monarchy. And, it seems to be taking a bit of time for that to sink in when it comes to Harry and Meghan.

As usual, comments arrived fast and furiously. One viewer said, “Henry needs to realise his pr stunts are pathetic and self centered and no one is interested, imo.”

• Prince William will be an excellent king and Princess Catherine will be a great queen. William is his mother’s greatest legacy and she would be very proud of him.
• No sympathy at all. They had the world at their fingertips. They were living a life of luxury and privilege few people could relate too (sic). Their narcissism made them leave and go to L.A thinking they’d be the king and queen of Hollywood. It didn’t work out (shocker) and now they’re sniffing around for a bailout.
• harry is ridiculous, he’s done the Angola walk twice before this one. Who would care about Harry’s diary?
