Prince Harry’s Former Bodyguard Reacts To His Requests For Taxpayer-Funded Police Protection

If Prince Harry is to be believed, certain members of the Royal Family did not only not step up for him in his fight to gain 24/7 taxpayer funded security, but went as far as standing in his way.

I believe his exact words were: “There is a lot of control and ability in my father’s hands. Ultimately, this whole thing could be resolved through him. Not necessarily by intervening, but by stepping aside, allowing the experts [to] do what is necessary.”

But if you ask Ken Wharfe, who formerly protected Princess Diana, Prince William and Prince Harry during the old fun days, Harry’s belief that he is entitled to full police protection still is “really offensive.”

What does Prince Harry want? His sweet round-the-clock police protection. What will it come at the cost of? The British taxpayer.

For this reason, Wharfe told PA that he believes the 40-year-old ‘Spare’ author “played the wrong card” in his approach to his security concerns since stepping back from royal life.

“I don’t see how he can expect to get full protection when he arrived back in the UK, when he is no longer a member working the Royal Family, when he knows that the actual security package comes at the expense of the British taxpayer,” Wharfe noted.

Wharfe explained that the government and police are aligned in their views that Harry should only be granted protection on a case-by-case basis.

Despite Harry’s claims that some evil masterminds, who are yet nameless at the time, want “history to repeat itself,” Wharfe believes there’s no flaw in Harry’s current security arrangements. “The High Court has seen that. The appeal court has seen it. The Government has seen it. The police have seen it, so where’s the problem?”

However, Harry continues to see a problem, because he has insisted he won’t be bringing his wife and children back to the UK as long as the current security arrangements persist. At the time, he referred to it as “a good old-fashioned establishment stitch-up.”
