Prince Harry Used As ‘Prop’ In Poppy PR Storm – Commentator

Prince Harry featured in the Duchess of Sussex’s recent social media post. It included a message about service and a vintage photo of Harry in military uniform. But, was it a Remembrance Day tribute made in haste?

Meghan Didn’t Want To Participate In Poppy Day

On Wednesday night, while presenting his Daily News Headlines vlog, royal commentator Neil Sean described alleged discord behind the scenes. Of course, it all started when Prince Harry rocked a poppy at the birthday party for Kris Jenner. Notably, Meghan didn’t wear one.

In the opinion of Sean, the reason why she didn’t wear one for the UK Remembrance Day was simply something “she didn’t really want to do.” Then he suggested that the post of Prince Harry the old soldier came to quiet down her “hotheaded husband.

She Could Haver Found A Poppy?

Sean talked about the poppy or the lack thereof, and dismissed the idea that Meghan wasn’t able to get a poppy. In fact, he called it a “lame excuse,” arguing that in a world of the internet, the problem could have been easily resolved. According to him, Meghan “clearly didn’t care” about showing any respect through the symbolic act.

“Allegedly,” Sean reiterated, criticisms arrived fast and furious. So, the social media post seemed to be a public statement for damage control. Again, “allegedly,” Prince Harry felt angry about the negative press, so he pushed Meghan into fixing the situation.

Calming Down Critics

To make him happy, Sean asserted, Meghan Markle hoped to calm everyone down by sharing a post of her husband’s “military background.” Sean reminded his viewers that Meghan did that sort of thing in the past. Illustrating that, he spoke about her birthday tribute to Harry and the cover of the book, The Bench.

The royal family expert believes that Meghan just “pats that ego as and when and then walks away.” Wrapping it up, Sean opined that the post was simply a cynical attempt, “utilizing her husband as some sort of James Bond action hero” to calm down the uproar.

No Idea Of Good PR

While he was at it, Sean also dissed Meghan for her zeal in accepting humanitarian awards. He believes that she only does it as she loves the limelight, not the cause. So, some of the honors might feel “fake” in the eyes of the recipients.

According to Sean, the latest post of Harry shows little conception of good public strategy. In fact, he felt that it was all “simply too late” and a dishonest “afterthought.” Either that, or she “simply doesn’t care.”

Critically, it seems that she just showed a serious lack of forethought as people can now interpret the post as Prince Harry being used as a prop to repair the damage caused by Meghan over the poppy faux pas.

Royal Family Fans React

The comments section, as it always does, quickly filled up with opinions. One respondent wrote, “Enjoy your karma Harry. You deserve every bit of it for the way you treated your family and the wonderful people of the UK.”

Here are a few more reactions:

  • She doesnt care about veterans unless they give her some good publicity. What a user.
  • The woman is no humanitarian.
  • Love watching them circling the drain, megsy too little too late.
  • Poppies are available in the States. Surely Harry with his “fame” can find an extra poppy.
