Premiere Date And Trailer
Fans are keen to watch Adam Sandler reprise his role as Happy Gilmore, and they don’t have to wait much longer. The sequel premieres on July 25. It also brings back Julie Bowen, Christopher McDonald, and Ben Stiller. New cast members include Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio (Bad Bunny) and several golfers in the sports comedy.

In the trailer, fans saw that the main character reintroduced himself by saying, “30 years ago, I decided to give golf a try.” Then as a bad swing showed a hilarious scene of face-planting, someone comment, “I think that Gilmore sucks.” Facing financial challenges, the kids encourage him to play a tournament and break in another clueless caddy.
The trailer reveals blunder after blunder, sure to bring the belly laughs. Among the trees, he managed to get a hectic whack on his you-know-what. There’s gorilla glue, a hand breaking apart, and the name of Happy on the lips of every sportscaster.
Fans React To The Trailer
The lighthearted comedy got a lot of people feeling happy about Happy Gilmore 2. Netflix delivers so many opportunities to laugh, and that’s good for you. One viewer said, “watching this felt like seeing an old friend after a long, long time.”

- MJF, Eminem, Becky Lynch, Martin Herlihy (Please Don’t Destroy), Domingo (I mean…Marcello Hernández), Bad Bunny, Eric Andre… so many awesome cameos for this movie!
- I just watched the first one for the first time yesterday. This doesn’t need to exist but I’m weirdly excited.
- Did a project on Adam Sandler for school, so happy this is coming out. I love his movies, and this is just a masterpiece.
- I have genuinely never been this excited for a film in my life.
- Ok this second trailer gives me a lot more faith in it than the first one.
- 30 years since initially being cowardly towards Happy, Shooter showing up to fight is going to be epic.
A Short Synopsis
According to Netflix Tudum, the streaming show brings back Adam Sandler as “one of his most iconic characters…[the] lovable golf player, Happy…” Roughly three decades after the initial film, the narrative rejoins Happy Gilmore as he strives to reclaim his inner peace and once again dominate the golf scene. Now “an older,” somewhat more disheveled version of his past self, he embarks on a quest to get his life back in order, aided by both familiar faces and new companions.
