Meghan Markle and her problems with her dad, Thomas Markle hit the headlines again, and caused fresh fodder to mount. It’s all about the alleged letter she had delivered to him in hospital in the Philippines recently. Read on for influencer Dan Wootton’s take on it.
The Letter To Thomas
By now, you probably heard that a spokesperson reached out to Thomas Markle in hospital following his “life or death” situation with a blood clot. Complications required an amputation. Well, the news later emerged that Meghan had sent him a letter. On Wednesday, Dan Wootton and Brittany from Royal News Network chatted about that letter on the Dan Wootton Outspoken podcast.

From his perspective, Dan felt that the letter represented more than a domestic issue in the family, but also as a public disclosure of Meghan Markle’s character. In his verdict, Wootton couldn’t hold back his criticism. For starters, he found the timing of the letter “a disgusting new low” and labeled Meghan’s behavior as showing “moral depravity.”
Sickly & Frail – Allegedly Nasty Letter
Next, Dan talked about Thomas Markle in the hospital bed, allegedly physically shaking and hoping for a reunion. However, he allegedly found a fierce attack. As an aside here, you might have seen images doing the rounds. In it, Thomas allegedly gave his daughter the finger in a video shared by Meghan’s sister, Samantha.

Apparently, the letter was delivered by an envoy and it came with instructions for Thomas to read it while being filmed. “We’ve come to learn what Meghan Markle is about,” Wootton said, and wondered whether the royal world had encountered a worse person “since Wallace Simpson, the (N-word) sympathizer.”
Lots Of hypocrisy?
Brittany, the Royal News Network editor, who took part in the debate, centered her contribution on hypocrisy. According to her, Meghan’s letter negatively slammed her father, accusing him of speaking with the media. Naturally, Brittany thought that seemed outright ironic.
“She is blaming him for doing what she herself is doing,” she said while giving examples of Meghan’s interviews to substantiate her argument. In addition, the critique delivered a serious warning. Brittany said that this way of treating her family is like a pattern. So, she suggested that if Prince Harry, or even Meghan’s children, were to cross her, they might be the next ones to experience the same tactics.
In the end, the commentary put forward a narrative that’s not only damaging but also deeply unsettling. On the one hand, it brought out the image of Thomas as the victim who craves connection. On the other hand, it depicted Meghan Markle as a ruthless operator who, without any hesitation, takes advantage of her position to settle old scores.
Royal Watchers React
The comments section quickly filled up with remarks and opinions from Dan’s over half a million followers. One of them opined, “How is it possible [for Meghan] to get ‘The Humanitarian Award of the Year’. I’m so disgusted.”
Here are a few more responses from the discussion:
- Meghan is a hundred times worse than I ever thought in light of this.
- Thomas Markle needs to focus on his children that love him. Forget Meghan.
- The only thing remarkable about Markle is her cruelty.
- I don’t believe she EVER loved her father. Sadly, she always used him. She is incapable of love.
- Dan, I don’t remember you ever being so upset. We are all with you.
