Meghan Markle Slammed Over “Disgusting,” Overpriced Chocolate Bar

As Ever is finding itself in the line of fire once more for releasing chocolate bars with disgusting flavors. If you can recall, it hasn’t been that long since the store’s candle offerings went viral online for arriving to a customer without a wick, and this new controversy has landed.

Man, can’t Meghan Markle’s lifestyle brand catch a break?

What Fans Are Saying About Meghan Markle’s Chocolate Flavors, Which Include Bee Pollen

Fancy some bee pollen in your chocolate. Oh sorry I don’t think I said that quite right. Fancy some bee pollen-flavored chocolate bar? Fans think not.

The new $12 chocolate bars have been labeled “weird” and “insane,” even as Meghan promises that they’re meant to “spark a sweet nostalgia.”

Among the range are milk chocolate, which contains shortbread cookies and bee pollen, white chocolate with flower sprinkles and hemp hearts and dark chocolate with raspberry spread and sea salt.

As bespoke and as fancy as these flavors may seem, fans seemed to agree that it is anything but.

One of the major turn-offs is the price: $12 for a bar of chocolate? “She’s got to be joking. $12 for a CHOCOLATE BAR? With weird [flavours] in it? Like who ruins chocolate with flower sprinkles? And bee pollen? Leave that for the bees. There’s NO WAY I’d pay $12 for a random chocolate bar with weeds in it. Gross,” one fan wrote, with another agreeing, “The flavours are just cringeworthy! Sticking that raspberry spread junk in one, flower sprinkles in another!”

Maybe it’s just that Meghan is trying too hard, or maybe she actually has sophisticated taste and the rest of us should try to keep up. Whichever it is, the chocolate bars are not making easy money, that’s for sure.

Despite their very eye-catching and colorful wrappers, fans were not ready to jump on the flower in a chocolate bandwagon. “Is this true? She really put flower sprinkles in chocolate?” one fan seemed eager to know.

These comments appear under the launch post Meghan shared on her Instagram account. In the clip, we see a bubbling chocolate mixture set to the tune of Shirley Ellis’s ‘I See It, I Like It, I Want It.’ The caption oozes pleasure, as it teases, “Things are about to get sweeter.”
