Prince William and Princess Kate Urged to Repair Monarchy After Andrew Controversy

If Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was paid to singlehandedly tarnish the Royal Family’s image, he couldn’t have managed it better than he is currently doing.

With his arrest on Thursday, Feb. 20, many have called for King Charles to abdicate. However, it’s still questionable whether Prince William and Princess Kate will be able to successfully steer the Monarchy out of the mire it currently rests in?

Can Prince William and Princess Kate Be Able To Restore the Integrity of the Monarchy?

Prince William and Princess Kate may soon face the trial of a lifetime when the time comes for them to lead the Monarchy.

These past few years have seen the reputation of the Monarchy dragged around like a football, with Prince Harry and Meghan’s repeated attacks, and of course, the lasting blessing that is called Andrew.

It’s gotten to the extent that the Monarchy’s long-running motto of “never explain, never complain” has become somewhat untenable.

With so many fractures appearing in the thousand-year-old institution, how will William and Kate proceed with building their legacy?

Public relations and crisis consultant Mark Borkowski recently shared his thoughts on why William and Kate must find a winning plan to revive the Monarchy under such dire circumstances.

“Really, what do William and Kate do? What do their generation do with the crown, with all its soft power, its affairs of state, it’s beginning to feel a little bit like a European monarchy,” Borkowski told The Independent.

“The pressure on William to communicate what the royal family is going to be over the next 50 years falls squarely on his shoulders. The heavy weight of this burden on the royal family’s reputation lies with William and Kate and what they’re going to do.”

William has always made his stance clear that he means to rejuvenate the Monarchy and dust off some of its stuffier customs, so maybe the climate isn’t entirely out of his grasp. After all, the Prince notably confessed that “change is in my agenda.”
