Meghan Markle Shared This Message Ahead Of King Charles' Speech On Cancer

As discussions of As Ever’s fate raged online, Meghan Markle once again surprised fans and naysayers by announcing that she and husband Prince Harry will be producing a brand new show in collaboration with Netflix.

However, the topic may shock fans, as the Duchess has opted to really dig deep into her childhood archives to fetch out something that’s both meaningful and perhaps even timely. Cookies and Girl scouts.

What Meghan Markle’s Girl Scout Cookie Documentary Is All About

Meghan Markle is pivoting a little from the kitchen to the streets, as she plans to follow “four tenacious girls” for her and Harry’s latest documentary about Girl Scouts selling cookies.

The programme’s synopsis read, “four tenacious girls (who) strive to be a top-selling ‘Cookie Queen’, navigating an 800 million dollar business in which childhood and ambition collide.”

With a slated Sundance Film Festival showing, Meghan plans to peel back the layers of her own childhood through the eyes of these “tenacious girls.”

“As a former girl scout myself, with my mom as my troop leader, I have a personal affinity for this film and am proud that all our conversations and collaboration have led to Archewell Productions partnering with this award-winning team to executive produce this incredibly captivating documentary,” Meghan shared in her announcement post on Instagram.

“When we first viewed the early footage of this documentary, it was immediately something we wanted to be involved in. The creative point of view, the edgy yet humanising tone and tenor of the directing, and the glimpse behind-the-scenes into such a nostalgic and also modern tradition of girl scout cookie season are absolutely irresistible.”

Meghan attached an adorable throwback picture of her and mother Doria Ragland. In the pic, young Meghan has one arm around her friend, and another around her mother, as she posed alongside fellow Girl Scouts in LA. Alysa Nahmias is attached as the documentary’s director.

Her announcement came mere hours before King Charles’ personal speech on cancer diagnosis and recovery was broadcast on Channel 4.

The King used the broadcast to reveal that his hospital time will be significantly reduced moving forward. This was received by an outpouring of love and support, which reportedly touched the monarch profoundly.
