Meghan Markle Believes the Palace Played a Role in Her Netflix Failure

Meghan Markle may not have been clear on whether ‘With Love, Meghan’ is returning for a third season, but she seems to be clear on one thing; her Netflix show didn’t fail on its own in spite of her late night efforts and best tries.

According to an insider, she’s got a pretty good mind on why ‘With Love, Meghan’ didn’t perform well at all.

According to a Radar Online source, Meghan Markle believes there’s a co-ordinated effort to drag down her business and her brands.

Before I get to the part where there’s finger pointing, I’d like to point out that ‘With Love, Meghan’ received mostly negative reviews from critics, with The Telegraph branding it an “exercise in narcissism.” Other outlets described it as “infomercial for Meghan’s ego,” “painfully contrived,” “tone-deaf,” boring and pointless.

At the time, Meghan pushed back on the critics by waving it off and saying that her fans “loved the show.”

Apparently there weren’t many fans to love the show, so a source is now back to give us Meghan’s two-piece on why the show was not the global success it was projected to be.

“Meghan is beyond furious,” a source close to the Duchess told the outlet. “She’s certain there’s an organized effort to bring her down, and she’s convinced it’s coming straight from the Palace. She’s been telling friends that the royals – particularly Kate Middleton – are using their media connections to quietly undermine her work. In her mind, none of this is happening by chance.”

What’s Meghan Markle’s Upcoming Christmas Special Going To Be About?

Despite its poor performance, Meghan revealed during her Fortune’s Most Powerful Women Summit appearance that she’s working on a Christmas special in partnership with Netflix.

The Christmas special will be tied to her Netflix show, ‘With Love, Meghan,’ only that now she’ll switch from being tickled by lettuces to showing off her gift-wrapping powers.

“I do lots of gift wrapping techniques. You guys know I used to teach gift wrapping at Paper Source, an advanced gift wrapping [class],” Meghan teased. “All of those things that you do as an auditioning actor, that’s not the full circle I was expecting, but here we are.”
