Matt Roloff Misses His TLC Income? Social Media Uptick

Matt Roloff, formerly on Little People, Big World (LPBW), had a sudden uptick of activity on social media. Is this because he misses his income from TLC? Some people believe Caryn Chandler, his fiancée, started posting more to make up for her lost earnings.

Posting For More Income?

Caryn was accused of suddenly posting on social media again after months of very little activity. Critics felt she just used them after ignoring them to post promos. Interestingly, the posts started arriving after rumors that the LPBW couple had split. Naturally, now that Matt has started posting again, people might wonder why.

Historically, lots of posts arrived ahead of a season. But as the show was canceled, it’s not likely that the increase is related to that. Between October 2024 and the beginning of February, Matt’s Instagram profile page only got three posts. A few more came in March, and then suddenly, in the last week or so, six posts arrived in quick succession.

The Latest Posts

On April 19, a reel arrived that showed the old Zoo Otica shack being removed. Matt told his followers, “Finally getting this old shack a new home!” 

That was followed by a photo of the red barn. In the caption, Matt Roloff seemed to make to clear that TLC are done with filming LPBW, and maybe even a special. He wrote, “This Barn! Never fails to make me happy! So many of you have never really seen inside … why? because the past 21 years the film crew used it as their home base. Soon I’ll arrange a video tour inside.”

Then, in the comments, the patriarch of the show said that he also plans to do a tour of his new home.

On April 26, the subject matter turned to the grandchildren when he posted a photo of the old swing.

He captioned that one by saying:

About 3 years ago I removed the tire swing we had up under the giant 100-year-old English Walnut tree. I was concerned the ropes had weakened. Last week I contacted my friend Jeff Morgan who referred me to a local rigging company that was able to replace the deteriorating ropes. Now the swing is ready to be safely enjoyed once again!

Any Hints About Needing Cash?

As none of the posts were promotional, it seems that for a bit, Matt had some time on his hands. With Jacob doing a lot of work on the farm, maybe he just found more time to mess about with social media.

The next post that arrived the next day showed some of the grandchildren (Audrey’s) driving around with him on the ATV. He wrote, “Grands showing me how to drive the ATV rig…. then me showing them some old school playin’”

Mowing the lawn featured next as his favorite thing to do. And then, he and Caryn took off back to Arizona. He and his fiancée decided to attend a concert there.

The return to Arizona might mean another hiatus in posts. Time will tell. However, it doesn’t seem as if Matt Roloff is desperate for money. Perhaps, he will start posting more about his projects on YouTube to keep himself occupied now that he has finished building his new home on the farm.
