True crime followers heard that Jake Haro, the father of missing baby Emmanuel Haro, would try for a plea deal. Now, he has pleaded guilty to the murder of his son. However, his wife, Rebecca, still has to appear in a preliminary hearing.
The Guilty Plea
According to NBC Palm Springs, Jake appeared in a Riverside courtroom on Thursday. Rebecca wasn’t with him, and notably, wasn’t “part of an agreement with the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office.” Additionally, he pleaded guilty to more than one of the offenses that he faced.

The outlet explained that Jake Haro “entered guilty pleas to one count each of murder, child endangerment, and filing a false police report.” As it went down in court, that means he will now be sentenced by a judge. The report noted that he could end up serving as much as 25 years behind bars.
What’s Going On With Rebecca?
Rebecca, who many thought would have turned witness against a man they believe was abusive, also faces charges. This is because she told the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Office that her child was kidnapped at a shopping complex in Yucaipa, California.
She appears before the same court as Jake Haro on November 3. She also faces a charge of filing a false police report. Interestingly, it takes place on the same day that Jake will hear his sentence. Additionally, it is not known yet if she will also plead guilty, as she has always maintained her innocence.
People Want Justice For Baby Emmanuel
True crime followers always believed in the guilt of Jake, and now they want to know where the body of the seven-month-old is. Remember, he was spotted out in the field with investigators who searched for the child.
When Ashleigh Banfield discussed the guilty plea on NewsNation on YouTube, the discussion talked about how possibly, while Jake might have pled guilty, maybe he’d flip it on Rebecca as the primary suspect. That remains to be seen. For now, folks want the remains of the child found and a decent burial for the poor little kid.
One person wrote in the comments, “Now he needs to tell where his child is!”
Meanwhile, another viewer penned, “where is the baby???? he needs to be properly laid to rest.”
At one stage, Jake Haro allegedly said that he rolled over on top of the child and it died by mistake. However, few people are buying that story, either.
