Is Another General Hospital Hunk Leaving Port Charles

When General Hospital spoilers confirmed this month that Jonathan Jackson was leaving the ABC soap and fan fave Lucky was out, fans were devastated.

Jonathan Jackson’s exit was unexpected, but not entirely shocking.  It’s no secret that rumors have been floating around regarding the show’s budget, and Jonathan Jackson probably isn’t cheap.  Whenever daytime drama’s begin struggling with revenue, we see a lot less of the more expensive actors. 

General Hospital Preparing To Axe Another Leading Guy

Is Cameron Mathison going to be the next victim of trimming the fat at General Hospital?  The Hallmark Channel star probably has one of the higher contracts in Port Charles.  And, there have been rumors of Drew Cain checking out for a while now.  

Drew Cain’s popularity on General Hospital has plummeted over the course of the past year. 

He lost a lot of points with fans when he slept with Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) and he has continuously rubbed the residents of Port Charles the wrong way for a while now.  It didn’t help that he seems to be bullying Willow’s son Wiley. 

A lot of General Hospital viewers will agree that Cameron Mathison is a stellar actor, but the writers haven’t done him any favors with his storylines as Drew Cain. 

As a matter of fact, a popular opinion among fans is that the role was written much better when Billy Miller was at the helm. 

Is There Hope For Drew Cain

Regardless of of who is to blame, one things is for sure, Cameron Mathison’s role of Drew Crain has been written in to a corner and is in desperate need of redemption. 

Could TPTB decide to just axe the mess all together and send Mathison packing like they did Jonathan Jackson?
