‘GH’ Spoilers Monday, May 12: Defensive Postures, Big Trouble, Blindsided Disbelief

General Hospital spoilers and updates for Monday, May 12 tease defensive postures, big trouble and blindsided disbelief!

Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) takes a defensive posture, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) finds out she’s in big trouble, and Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) in blindsided disbelief! (Make sure to check out our next week GH spoilers, here!)

Something Suspicious And Wrong

At the university, Emma Scorpio-Drake (Braedyn Bruner) stands in front of wooden file drawers that may be in Professor Henry Dalton’s (Daniel Goddard) office. She seems suspicious as she notes, “Something is really wrong here”.

She’s probably just turned in her corrupted flash drive that she doesn’t know is corrupted, and that scotches her chances at being Professor Dalton’s assistant.

She doesn’t seem to have picked up on a connection between it possibly being damaged at the beach as opposed to corrupted on purpose.

It was Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) who did that, then said she found it on the beach-but Emma is definitely suspicious!

Conditional Acceptance

In the meantime, Josslyn faces Dalton as it seems that she’s gotten an edge over Emma for the research assistant position.

Dalton leans down to her, him standing across from her as she’s seated, and tells her there is one condition.

She appears to be in the same room where Emma was shown in previously, the same wooden file cabinets can be seen-looking like a gigantic card catalog in an old library.

Josslyn is obviously a little concerned about what Dalton’s one condition might be, as she fixes her gaze on him, ready to listen.

Defensive Postures

At the hospital in Portia’s co-Chief Of Staff office, the atmosphere is tense as Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) grills her on why she’s defending Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison)!

Portia, very defensive at this point, shouts to Curtis, revealing “Because I have to!” Will Portia admit to Curtis that she’s being blackmailed by the corrupt congressman?

That puts Portia in one heck of a conundrum, between a rock and a hard place-darned if she does, and darned if she doesn’t!

If she admits she’s being blackmailed then she’d have to admit to Curtis her part in the ketamine drugging.

Press And Pressure

In the meantime, Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) is sitting with someone and talking at a table in the Metro Court, and she’s in disbelief at what she’s being told.

She looks incredulous as she asks the other person if she’s hearing correctly, “Are you saying I should kill my article?”

Presumably, this is the article about adoption that she interviewed Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) about, although it could also be one about Drew!

She, too, was in the Savoy the night Drew got drunk and drugged, and went viral doing body shots on Jacinda (Paige Herschell) the hooker.

However, by this time that’s old news and everyone knows about that-exactly which article is Lulu being asked to kill?

Big Trouble

In the meantime, Laura looks shocked as former Deputy Mayor Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) tells her she thinks she’s in big trouble.

Laura didn’t want Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) piers to go to Sidwell, Drew and Ezra Boyle (Daniel Cosgrove) for the Esplanade.

And it wasn’t just because Sonny owned them, it was because of Sidwell’s and Drew’s reputations-or, perhaps, lack thereof!

But now she’ll learn that in spite of the referendum she called for, Sonny’s selling his piers to Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota).

Jordan, having taken a position as Sidwell’s chief operating officer so she could do her undercover investigation, was there when it happened!

Couples Coupling Up

Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) falling harder and harder for Jack Brennan (Chris L. McKenna) as they sit at a table in the Metro Court, obviously on a date.

She looks in his eyes and asks “Am I really that important to you?” He doesn’t look quite as moon eyed as she does but she’s like a teenager with her first crush!

She has no idea about the secrets he’s keeping, but he’ll likely convey his secret feelings for her readily. It looks like this couple is getting ready to couple up a little later in his suite!

Blindsided Disbelief

Still at Sonny’s house, Jason is in blindsided disbelief, after finding out Sonny was serious about selling his piers to Sidwell-presumably his coffee business too?

That would affect Jason greatly since it’s his living and the two had been partners in Corinthos Coffee. The two appear to be in an argument as Sonny states his case for selling out to Sidwell.

Jason knows exactly who and what Jenz Sidwell is since he and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) rescued Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson) from him in Somalia. Sonny continues to argue to Jason, “for our family’s sake, I’m not passing it up!”
