GH Spoilers: Laura’s Nightmare Was A Tease — The Fans Are Dying To See Cyrus And Esme Return

General Hospital Spoilers: Laura's Nightmare Was A Tease — The Fans are Dying to See Cyrus and Esme ReturnGeneral Hospital spoilers boast Mayor Laura Collins (Genie Francis) took us on a wild ride last week as they cat-napped on the sofa and found herself embroiled in a nightmare that took us all by surprise.

I don’t know about you, but I was thrilled to see Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) show up at her penthouse door — and then shattered when I realized there was no way this wasn’t a dream.

As soon as Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) showed up on the stairs, we knew better, right? It was too good — or bad? — to be true.

But just because that was a dream doesn’t mean it wasn’t some form of foreshadowing, and I’m much more welcoming of their faces in a dream than as apparitions that send a message that they’re both really dead and never coming back. So, who might return first? Can we get Cyrus and Esme back in Port Charles soon?

Joss’ Storyline is Still Evolving

Although we might love to see Cryus show up alive and in the flesh, we can’t ignore that times have changed since his death earlier this year. Josslyn ‘Joss’ Jacks (Eden McCoy) killed him, and Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) practically led her to do it.

Compromising her in more than one way, he lured her into the WSB, using her own personal trauma following Dex Heller’s (Evan Hofer) death to do it. If Cyrus were to show up alive now, Joss would know she isn’t as compromised as it once seemed.

Still, her being in the WSB now lends a different level of danger that may pose risk to her if she suddenly jumped ship. But would she retaliate if she knew Jack somehow fooled her into thinking Cyrus was dead when he wasn’t?

GH Spoilers Spill Laura’s Subconscious Paints a Certain Picture of Her Brother

Obviously, Laura’s nightmare was her subconscious speaking to her. The guilt of knowing Professor Henry ‘Hank’ Dalton (Daniel Goddard) was dead and letting Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) dispose of him on Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) orders is eating her alive.

That dream was a message from Laura to herself — with Esme and Cyrus saying all the things she would normally say to anyone else in her shoes. At the same time, it is clear that Cyrus lingers in her mind as a bad guy.

If he had truly reformed himself, he wouldn’t have shown up to gloat in her face or point out her flaw, and certainly not to salivate over catching his sister after she had fallen just to kick her when she’s down.

But that is the version of Cyrus that lives in her head, signaling that Laura never really believed he had changed. That’s exactly why we want him back!

Esme is Eternal

Esme showing up in Laura’s living room was the icing on the cake for fans like myself who keep wondering when she will return — hopefully with Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) not far behind.

If Esme does return soon, we can bet her attention would be fixated on Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay). That means Laura would be her number one target since she is Ace’s legal guardian while Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) is in prison. So, who will return first?

Here’s to hoping we see some familiar faces in 2026! Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers just ahead.
