GH Spoilers: Is Curtis The Key To Solving The Drew Shooter Case?

General Hospital spoilers reveal that Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) is now the prime suspect in PCPD’s investigation into Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) shooting – let’s discuss!

Fans are aware that Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) is defending Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) in her trial and is focusing on other suspects to shift blame away from her client.

Drew’s Determined To Prove Michael Shot Him

While Drew is determined to prove that Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) shot him, along with Harrison Chase (Joshua Swickard), Alexis believes identifying several other suspects will improve Willow’s chances of being cleared.

Additionally, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) urged Alexis to look into other possibilities beyond his son. He even suggested investigating Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr), a lead he got from Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros).

Things  became more complicated for Portia when Alexis enlisted Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) to check Portia’s alibi – her claim of being “on call” at the hospital turned out to be false.

However, fans know that Portia was actually with Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson) that night, which is why she lied, especially now that she’s expecting.

Ric Revealed Portia’s Motive To Alexis

During the week of November 17-21, Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) revealed to Alexis that Portia had a motive to shoot Drew. He disclosed that the ruthless congressman blackmailed her over Heather Webber’s (Alley Mills) falsified hospital records from long ago.

This leads us to the week of November 24-28, where the ABC soap intensifies Drew’s shooting plot.

The latest General Hospital preview hints that Curtis might be the next prime suspect. A clip shows a frantic Portia speaking with Ava Jerome (Maura West) at the art gallery.

Portia Has Something New To Worry About

Portia anxiously exclaims, “No, no, no, what now?” As the promo shifts, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) is seen at his PCPD office, reviewing a file and stating, “Maybe we should take another look at Curtis.” The preview concludes with a close-up of a worried Curtis.

All signs indicate that Curtis could be the main suspect in Drew’s shooting, and unlike Portia, he lacks an alibi. If the police focus on Portia, she might have to rely on Isaiah for her alibi, which would not only expose their affair but also reveal her uncertainty about her child’s father.

Escaping Prison Might Be Worth It

Escaping prison might be worth the fallout from her baby scandal-but did Curtis really shoot Drew- it seems unlikely, despite his motive. He wanted to end Drew’s blackmail of him and Portia, and killing Drew would do just that.

However, this behavior is very uncharacteristic of Curtis. As the saying goes in soap operas, the most obvious suspects are rarely the guilty ones.

The reveal of Drew’s shooter seems imminent, and with the final week of November sweeps upon us, it’s the perfect time for ABC’s daytime drama to unveil the truth… but will they?
