‘GH’ Spoilers: Did Carly Plant Edward’s Gun At Liz’s To Protect Michael?

General Hospital spoilers and updates reveal Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) would do ANYTHING to protect her son, Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) even pleading guilty to shooting Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison)!

The question is, did Carly plant Edward Quartermaine’s (John Ingle) gun at Elizabeth Baldwin’s (Rebecca Herbst) house when she visited her, to draw the PCPD’s attention away from Michael?

Carly Acted Suspicious When Liz Went Upstairs To Answer The Phone

Carly knows that Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) is living with Elizabeth, so she went to visit when Willow was at work-Carly was nervous as to what Elizabeth told the police.

Elizabeth had walked in on Carly confronting Drew, and she had threatened to kill him-shortly before the night that Drew was shot.

Having been rivals for years and years, over Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) she felt she had valid concerns; but she underestimated Liz.

Elizabeth told her she didn’t say anything to the police about what she overheard-she knew Carly was reacting to frustration and stress.

But when she went upstairs to take a phone call, Carly acted suspicious-she looked around, put her own phone back in her purse and left-still looking around.

Michael’s Alibi Is Flimsy At Best, As Far As Carly’s Concerned-The Cops Find It Suspect

Michael’s alibi is flimsy at best, as far as Carly’s concerned-even though he’d been involved with a call girl before-think Abby Haver (Andrea Bogart).

No one, let alone the PCPD believes Michael is actually dating Jacinda Bracken (Paige Herschell); Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) doesn’t believe it, he believes what he walked in on was a setup!

And that’s exactly what it was-a setup, to establish an alibi, even though when Michael had the drink with Jacinda, it was a different time than when he was parked near Drew’s.

And Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) had called him on it-but also protected him by not telling she saw him near the house when she was going to reason with Drew.

Anna Searches Elizabeth’s House, Finds The Weapon

There is a slight possibility that Willow has had Edward’s gun and wasn’t able to sneak it back into the Quartermaine mansion, where it was kept in the study.

Detective Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) checked for it where it had been along with the rest of Edward’s collection, once the corrected search warrant for the Quartermaine mansion was reissued.

Chase had caught Willow in the mansion previously, so she didn’t get a chance to replace the gun if she’d had it-but what if she didn’t?

There is a chance that prior to the bullets being matched to Edward’s gun, it was put back-and taken again by “someone”-someone who wanted to point suspicion away from Michael.

Did Carly manage to take the gun from the study and plant it in Elizabeth’s house when she was upstairs on that call, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) finding it?
