GH Ryan Paevey Fans Predicted His Return As Nathan West?

Ryan Paevey is returning to General Hospital as Nathan West, according to various reports. Of course, now the speculation turns to how the writers make that possible. After all, he was dead. Apart from that, some ABC fans claim they predicted his return seven years ago. Read on for more details.

The Return Was Predicted?

After Ryan confirmed the rumors of his return, in a rather unconventional way, he didn’t claim that he’d be back as Maxie Jones’ (Kirsten Storms) dead husband. However, according to Deadline and other outlets, he is in fact, reprising his role.

While fans saw that he’d died, it’s never impossible for the return of characters who exited via a tombstone. And despite Maxie being widowed, in 2014, some fans claim that they foresaw his return all those years ago.

The discussion arose when @thesoapcentral shared a post about it on Instagram. The title of the post read, “General Hospital: Writers confirm that Ryan Paevey Will Return As Nathan…But in what Form?”

The Prediction Recalled By Fans

In the caption the admin wrote, “General Hospital co-head writers Elizabeth Korte and Chris Van Etten confirmed that Ryan Peavey will indeed be returning as the presumed-dead Nathan West when he starts airing on General Hospital this fall.”

In the comments section, one ABC fan questioned how the writers could do it, saying, “We saw his dead body, how will they pull this off?” Of course, a lot of people chimed in about how they resurrected Dr. Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) in Croatia.

Next, the conversation turned to predictions of a return. Actually, that might surprise Ryan Paevey, who claimed that there wasn’t talk of a return when he took a step back from acting.

Certain Of A Return

The fan who claimed they predicted Nathan West’s return to the ABC show seemed certain about their prediction. They suggested it would be easy to explain that “he was given medication that slowed his heart rate down so that he looked like he was dead. He was taken and held against his will all this time by someone.”

Elaborating further, the fan claimed to have predicted this very storyline years ago when Ryan first left the show. They stated that “if he ever wanted to come back, this is the exact storyline they could use,” adding, “I even suggested that this was a possibility years ago when he left.”
