George Clooney ‘Boiling With Anger’ Over Virginia Giuffre’s Memoir Claims

Few names in Hollywood carry the reputation and gravitas of George Clooney — and perhaps that’s why the Oscar-winning actor was reportedly blindsided when his name appeared in the posthumous memoir of Virginia Giuffre, a survivor of Jeffrey Epstein’s notorious sex-trafficking ring.

The Controversial Claim

In Nobody’s Girl: A Memoir of Surviving Abuse and Fighting for Justice, released earlier this month, Giuffre recounts her years under the control of Epstein and his longtime associate Ghislaine Maxwell.

Among her many recollections is one in which Maxwell allegedly bragged about a supposed sexual encounter with Clooney.

Giuffre wrote that Maxwell “was proud of being close to the rich and powerful, especially the ones every woman wanted to meet,” claiming that the British socialite once boasted about performing a sex act on the Hollywood star during a party.

The memoir, completed before Giuffre’s death in April, has sent shockwaves through media and celebrity circles — and Clooney’s name has become the most unexpected headline of all.

Clooney’s Response: “Grotesque Fabrication”

According to multiple sources close to the actor, Clooney was “absolutely furious” after learning of the claim.

An associate told OK! Magazine that “George’s blood was boiling when he heard what had been written. He has never met Ghislaine Maxwell in his life, and he’s horrified his name has been dragged into this.”

Those close to him describe the story as a “grotesque fabrication” — something Clooney finds both “devastating” and “deeply distressing” for his family. One insider told RadarOnline that the actor is determined to make clear he had “zero involvement” with either Epstein or Maxwell.

“George’s entire reaction has been disbelief and anger,” another colleague added. “He understands that Virginia suffered enormously, but to have this falsehood attached to his name is devastating.”

The Woman Behind the Memoir

Virginia Giuffre, who was trafficked as a teenager by Epstein and Maxwell, had long been one of the most vocal survivors of their abuse. In her memoir, she describes being manipulated and coerced into “behaviors that ate away at me, eroding my ability to comprehend reality.”

“From the start,” she wrote, “I was groomed to be complicit in my own devastation. Of all the terrible wounds they inflicted, that forced complicity was the most destructive.”

Giuffre’s book also revisits her accusations against Prince Andrew — claims that led to a civil lawsuit and an undisclosed settlement in 2022. “He believed having sex with me was his birthright,” she alleged in the memoir.

The Fallout and the Bigger Picture

Since the book’s release, Clooney’s team has maintained silence publicly, but insiders insist he is not taking the allegation lightly. “He’s angry not just for himself but for his family,” one source said. “It’s a disgusting lie — and he won’t let it stand.”

Giuffre’s death earlier this year added a tragic note to an already disturbing story. Epstein died by suicide in 2019 while awaiting trial, and Ghislaine Maxwell is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence for sex trafficking minors.

For Clooney, the ordeal is an unwelcome intrusion into a dark scandal he has no connection to — a reminder of how even the world’s most private figures can be pulled unwillingly into someone else’s story.
