EastEnders spoilers and updates for the week of May 26 reveal car crash horror, an old friend tries to make amends, and a new teen romance.

Zack Hudson’s (James Farrar) kidnap plot ends up in a car crash, Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) tries to make amends, and Avani Nandra-Hart (Aaliyah James) finds a new romance.

Zack Hudson’s Desperate Loan Request

Zack approaches Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) seeking a loan to facilitate his escape, but Ravi cautions him against crossing Nicola Mitchell (Laura Doddington). He tells him that she recently requested him to dispose of a body.

Zack shares his concerns with Linda Carter (Kellie Bright), who persuades him to report the matter to the police.

His tip-off results in Nicola’s arrest, and upon witnessing Harry Mitchell’s (Elijah Holloway) reaction, Zack reveals the truth about Barney Mitchell’s (Lewis Bridgeman) paternity, hoping that Harry will want him to ensure Barney’s safety.

However, when Nicola is released, Harry confides in his father Teddy Mitchell (Roland Manookian) about the truth: he is not Barney’s father; Zack is.

Car Crash Horror

Nicola attempts to deny the truth, but under Teddy’s pressure, she confesses; a tense confrontation unfolds, leaving them both rattled when Harry discloses Zack’s intention to leave with Barney. In a bid to thwart Zack, Harry takes extreme action, shoving him into the trunk of his car before racing out of Walford.

Concerned about his son’s reckless behavior, Teddy intercepts Nigel Bates (Paul Bradley, Billy (Perry Fenwick), and Honey Mitchell (Emma Barton) as they head to the cinema, insisting on a ride to pursue Harry.

Teddy aims to catch up with Harry before he can execute his plan. But just when it seems Teddy has everything under control, a car swerves off the road and plunges into the lake!

Vicki Fowler Springs Into Action

In the wake of the accident, the survivors rush to the riverbank in a desperate attempt to rescue those who are trapped inside the vehicle.

As news of the incident spreads to Albert Square, Vicki Fowler (Alice Haig) decides to take action, making her way to No.1 to disclose a significant truth.

The repercussions of Vicki’s revelation leave Barney in shock, but has she revealed to him that Zack is actually his biological father?

Meanwhile, Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) and Phil are seen alongside Vicki and Barney as the startling events unfold. But at the lake, who remains trapped in the car, and will they manage to escape alive?

Phil Tries To Make Amends

Phil finds himself puzzled by Nigel’s anger over the lack of a birthday celebration, even though Nigel previously stated he didn’t want a big deal made of it.

After having a conversation with Yolande Trueman (Angela Wynter), as well as Honey and Alfie Moon (Shane Richie), Phil decides to confront Nigel about his feelings.

Eventually, Phil proposes throwing a belated birthday party, to which Nigel responds by suggesting a trip to the cinema.

However, with Teddy stepping in to disrupt these plans, how will Nigel navigate the ensuing suspenseful situations?

Teen Romance

Avani faces a barrage of hurtful messages online after news breaks about her relationship with Joel Marshall (Max Murray).

Barney attempts to support her, but Avani becomes defensive and leaves when he brings up Joel-later, Barney discovers a troubled Avani in the playground and tries to assist her once more.

He reassures her about the mean messages, but Nicola finds them and thinks Avani is leading Barney astray-when Barney clarifies why Avani is upset, Nicola offers Avani some encouraging words.

Avani appreciates Barney’s support, and then invites Barney to her home, but she becomes upset when he misunderstands a situation.

Ravi witnesses the conflict and gives Barney some wise advice, helping the teens to reconcile; as Avani kisses Barney, could this be the beginning of a new romance?
