Days Of Our Lives Spoilers Comings And Goings: 1 Actor Leaving, 1 Returning, 2 New Stars Join for Recasting, And 1 More To Come In A Mystery Role!Days of Our Lives spoilers and updates tease one actor leaving, one returning, one new recast, and one more to come in a mystery role!

The NBC Peacock soap is saying goodbye to some major stars, and some have already exited recently, but saying hello to at least one new one.

Who’s Left Already?

Here are some stars who have left recently, in the past couple months and it’s not known if or when they’ll return to reprise their roles.

For one, Roslyn Gentle as Rachel Blake-Kristen DiMera’s (Stacy Haiduk) mother,  and currently granddaughter Rachel Black (Finley Rose Slater) is offscreen.

More intel on that when we talk about recasts-Alex Ann Hopkins also left recently, she played Chloe Lane’s (Nadia Bjorlin) younger sister Joy Wesley.

Tamara Braun left as Ava Vitali, and considering she’s a recurring character, she may come back but nothing’s been announced.

Louise Sorel appeared very briefly as Vivian Alamain and she’s already exited as well for the time being.

Who Are Playing The Recast Roles?

First, Alice Halsey will be playing a recast Rachel Black, and it’s possible she may be aged up a little bit; she will appear sometime in April. Marissa Reyes has been cast as Arianna Horton, the daughter of Gabi Hernandez (Cherie Jimenez) and Will Horton (Chandler Massey).

According to Soap Opera Digest, she is set to make her debut in May, with a storyline that will unfold over several months. The last time we saw Arianna, Gabi Hernandez,  still played by Camila Banus in 2022, was still in a relationship with Li Shin (Remington Hoffman).

At that time, Arianna was portrayed by Lane Rosa and was much younger;  keep an eye out for her upcoming arrival!

Billy Flynn Leaving As Chad DiMera

Billy Flynn, known for his portrayal of Chad DiMera for ten years, has announced his departure from the series. He will be joining The Young & The Restless in a yet-to-be-revealed role.

In a recent interview, Billy discussed his choice to step away from the character of Chad and shared insights about his future plans.

Since DOOL tapes several months ahead, currently nine months, technically Billy has left but fans will see several more months of Chad. It hasn’t been revealed exactly how he will exit or if there may possibly be a recast.

Alison Sweeney – Returned, Left, Returning Again

Alison Sweeney is back in action as Sami Brady; the announcement was made in 2024, but her episodes just began airing in April.  She shared with TV Insider she was overjoyed to be asked to return.

She added, she  truly enjoys portraying Sami and always eager for the opportunity to come back; “We often have to coordinate schedules, but I’m really happy we could make it work.”

Alison first graced daytime television in 1993 as the teenage daughter of Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) and Roman Brady (now portrayed by Josh Taylor), remaining on the show for more than 21 years before her departure.

It’s been two years since her last appearance, and although Sami left with Vivian, she is anticipated to return at least twice in the upcoming months.

Hank Northrop Joining In A Mystery Role

The son of the late Wayne Northrop, (the original Roman Brady), and Lynn Herring, (Lucy Coe on General Hospital and Lisanne Gardner on DOOL), will be joining the cast in late 2025!

He has already started filming. Hank shared, “I felt good about my audition, but my main focus was on my father.”

He added, “So, it kind of faded from my mind until I received a callback, and then I didn’t hear anything for a while.”

The most incredible moment came on my birthday, January 9, when I got the call saying, ‘Congratulations, you’ve booked Days of Our Lives.’ I immediately broke down in tears,” he told TV Insider.

Hank Continued His Excitement Over His New Role

It felt incredibly cosmic;iIt was as if my dad had sent me a birthday gift during my first birthday after he passed away, helping me navigate the pain of his loss. It was something you couldn’t plan for. This experience allowed me to cope a bit better.

It was a truly beautiful moment that brought everything full circle, and I am grateful to [Executive Producer] Ken Corday, [Co-Executive Producer] Janet Spellman-Drucker, [Casting Director] Marnie Saitta, and the entire production team.

His father portrayed Roman Brady from 1981 to 1994 and Alex North from 2005 to 2006. Wayne sadly passed away in November 2024.
