Hot on the heels of a death reported on an adventure cruise, Carnival Cruise Line revealed that a passenger died on a cruise in Miami. The involvement of the FBI seems suspicious, could it be the result of a true crime?

The Death Seems Mysterious

The Sun US reported that a tourist was found dead this weekend. However, at this time, it is not clear if the passenger’s life ended because of something nefarious. Probably, the investigation into the rather “mysterious” demise will establish any links to other bad things happening.

Carnival Cruise Line cooperates with the investigation, and is also supportive of the family. The outlet cited the ocean vacation representative as saying:

Since this is an ongoing matter under the jurisdiction of law enforcement, all media inquiries need to be directed to the FBI’s Miami public affairs office.

So far, no other information emerged.

Another Recent Death

Cruise vacations seem like a lot of fun, until they are not. People have died on board in the past. Recently, a woman who went for an adventure cruise in Australian waters ended up dead after she became separated on an excursion to Lizard Island. The lack of a proper head count could land the Coral Adventurer in trouble.

Another death also happened recently. Last month, the outlet noted that a cruise ship crew member passed away on the Arvia, which is part of P&O Cruises. Interestingly, folks might even see that in the reality series starring Captain Lee Rosbach which aired Season 1 on Oxygen. These days, he helps to investigate true crime deaths at sea, in rivers, and elsewhere.

Shows About Disasters At Sea

In the meantime, Netflix also has an interesting program that looks at things that go wrong, like the one on the Carnival Cruise liner. In particular, they focused on the disastrous situation when 4,000 people were stuck in a ship with the power out. The toilets stopped working, and things became pretty disgusting fast.

Bad things that happen on cruises generate a lot of interest from viewers. One person commented, “This is the deep, hard hitting content I pay my Netflix fee for.”

Meanwhile, another person revealed things were probably worse than what was shown. Their tale in part said:

I was on this cruise and I’m glad to see some of my footage made the film, except, they didn’t give credit. To answer some questions I see, Netflix had to stick to their theme. They chose people to interview who would also stick to their theme about it just being about poo. They left out a lot. The worst part was the danger and Carnival didn’t tell us much at all while on the ship. We had no idea if everyone survived the fire or not and many people weren’t getting food. People mostly slept under the lifeboats because Carnival was not being honest.
