Does Harry Even Have A Goal?
On Wednesday, royal commentator Neil Sean raised the subject of Harry’s solo tour to Canada during his Daily News Headlines vlog. Notably, he was not at all complimentary. The problem, according to Sean, is that Prince Harry seems to have no specific goal. And, he opined that the Duke of Sussex seems to lack any use as an influencer at the moment.
Addressing Prince William’s brother, Sean asked, “What’s your act? What are you doing? And more importantly, what are you offering?” Once again drawing comparisons, the royal expert talked about the Duke and Duchess of Windsor. When they branded their love story, they did well. But, in the case of Harry and Meghan, it seems they don’t even have that to fall back on.
The Canada Speech
Concentrating on Harry’s address in Canada, Sean said that his performance was merely a business deal for “a sprinkling of stardust.” Allegedly, behind the scenes, things ran into backstage issues. The commentator mentioned that according to sources, Harry felt taken aback when he found out that the people in charge of the event would film his talk.
Additionally, he supposedly didn’t want to participate in meet and greet sessions. Then, regarding his speech, Sean pointed out that it was a rehashing of old stories. In fact, Harry, in a “rambling” manner, blamed the media and talked about his mother. Plus, the allegation arrived that his speech seemed way too short for the allocated time.
An Underwhelming Performance?
The attendees, again according to an unnamed source, claimed that the whole event seemed underwhelming. In his opinion, Neil Sean feels that Prince Harry has a hard time grasping that these days, he can’t dictate to the media.
“He thought he could control the narrative of his life,” Sean opined. Of course, without the royals behind him, each little error and slip ends up in a tabloid or even as headline news. Instant digital news also makes it difficult to control what is seen and how it’s interpreted. And that, it seems might be one of the biggest issues that Harry deals with.
At the end of his vlog, Sean wrapped it up by suggesting that Prince Harry’s solo projects don’t do him much good. And, he also believes that folks seem indifferent to the Duke’s point of view. Actually, rather harshly, Sean claimed that most people are “sick to the back teeth of him.”
