Meghan Markle’s Trolling Claim Sparks Debate as Senator Fires Back

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle landed in Australia this week and kicked off an itinerary-packed four day tour.

From charity to business to pleasure, the couple was seen running around Sydney, Melbourne, and other places for the highly publicized tour.

Apart from marking their return to the country since 2018, the tour also served to give the couple a sort of blueprint for their future trips.

However, things got a little bit more interesting when Meghan sat down and addressed students at Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne. During her speech, she noted that she was the most trolled person in the world for ten years running.

You may think that this isn’t farther from the truth since Meghan more or less consecutively tops the list of most disliked celebrities, but Senator Ted Cruz would beg to differ.

Ted Cruz Names US President As Most Trolled Person In the World

When Meghan gave her statement, it was done with no concrete figures to back it up. Yeah, she’s been receiving a mostly negative press coverage since she and Britain’s Prince Harry got together, but compared to US President Donald Trump, who is more widely known across the globe? Senator Ted Cruz fears she comes up rather short.

Responding to Meghan’s bold claim in a Thursday press interview, Cruz said, “I’d probably say it’s Donald Trump.”

When asked about his stance on the trolling the President receives on a daily basis, he noted that “Like most trolling in life, some is fair, and some is unfair.”

But, he’s not averse to chuckling at some of them, so long as they are funny. Even though Cruz wasn’t so sure about the accuracy of her bullying claim, he did praise her for her acting work in “Suits,” calling it awesome.

“For now, 10 years, every day for 10 years, I have been bullied and attacked,” she told the students. “And I was the most trolled person in the entire world.”

Emphasizing her determination to not let this dampen her shine, she added, “I’m still here.”

Speaking of trolling, fans are picking up on Harry’s comment that he had a therapist on hand to prep him for Archie’s arrival. This is especially telling seeing that Meghan said she couldn’t get to a therapist during her Oprah tell-all because it would look bad for the institution.
