But it took a confrontation with the people Jordan claimed wronged her for Claire to see the daytime light. That turn changed everything and led the character Erin is playing with great aplomb to her next watershed moment.

Claire continues to work to earn the trust of her rediscovered family members. While that’s happening, she is also developing romantic feelings for Kyle. Yet, she will be thrown for an unexpected loop if he is forced to end her nanny status.

Kyle is not in love with anyone at this point in his life. Many would rightly say that the only person he cares about, besides Harrison Locke (Redding Munsell), is himself.

Kyle has alienated those who care about him by making himself bitter. Summer remains in that group because, as viewers recall, she did not end what was their solid marriage.

Mealor’s character throws Summer away because of his misguided belief that she betrayed his trust. Not telling him about Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) death hoax was not intentional. Her mother put her in an impossible spot, and neither Harrison nor Kyle was endangered in any real way.

The one exception Kyle has made in recent months is Claire. He has great sympathy for her situation, values her role in Harrison’s life, and is developing a friendship with her.

Summer and Chance are getting along nicely and are in a romantic relationship. But this couple is not deeply in love.

So, an opening does exist for Summer and Kyle to reunite. If his proximity with Claire continues and he does not follow Victor’s orders, the potential for romance with Erin’s character increases.

However, Summer’s feelings for Kyle persist under the surface, which makes the original love of Kyle’s life a possibility for a reunion. While that possibility looks remote now, all can change quickly in this soapy world.
