Prince William Has Been Doing School Runs Since Princess Kate’s Sickness

Prince William Has Been Doing School Runs Since Princess Kate's SicknessAs Kate continues to recover from her planned abdominal surgery, William has taken on more roles in the house to make sure that her recovery goes as smoothly as possible.

Apart from doing his royal duties, it’s been reported that Prince William has been driving the kids to and from their school in Berkshire. He’s a keeper, isn’t he?

Prince William Balancing Family Duties With Royal Duties In His Wife’s Absence

As Queen Camilla carries on with her break, Prince William has been holding the fort without the King and the Princess of Wales.

Of course, this can’t be easy, because he has to take on additional roles at home so that his wife can safely and comfortably recover from surgery.

One moment he’s suited up and visiting a synagogue church to discuss anti-Semitism, the next he’s rushing to pick the children from school.

A source speaking to Hello! revealed that William has done this since his wife’s surgery. They said: The prince has “taken his children to and from the Lambrook School in Berkshire every day.”

Of course, we’ve heard often enough that the Waleses take a more “hands-on” approach to parenting, so it’s not surprising to hear this.

It’s speculated that he plans his appearances to align with school pick up so he doesn’t have to rush to be somewhere or even show up late (psst, he has a private secretary so yeah he could totally do that).

Prince William and Princess Kate’s Parenting Aligns With Princess Diana’s Approach

Speaking on the Wales couple’s approach to parenting, royal commentator Ingrid Seward lauded their method as an “encouraging” step away from the duties-first mindset of the generations before them.

She said:Charles always put duty first because that’s what his mother did. And that’s what Diana decided she wouldn’t do. I think Charles has encouraged William to spend more time with the family and also said to William, ‘I don’t want you to take on any royal duties until you absolutely have to,’ because you remember we criticised William the work-shy?”

She continued: “And that was his father very much saying, ‘You don’t have to do this, be with your young family. Enjoy it while you can. You’ve got years and years and years of royal duties to do’.”

Apart from husband William supporting her, Kate’s parents are also said to care for and support her in taking care of the children as she recovers.
