Prince Harry Snubs Archie’s Godfather’s Wedding For This Reason

So finally we have an answer. Prince Harry and Prince William will not be reuniting at the Duke of Westminster’s wedding because Prince Harry has decided to sit it out.
Ah… So no drama then.

According to reports, Harry was said to have been “put out” by news his brother would have a more prominent role at the event than him.

A well-informed source told the Daily Mail last night, “William was asked to have a prominent role in the wedding and that’s what triggered Harry to decline an invitation. Apparently he [Harry] was put out by the request when he thought it should have been him.” This apparently influenced his decision to miss the grand occasion.

As for the reason why details regarding what has been lauded as “the wedding of the year” is so scarce, the source added, “Both the Palace and Hugh’s people decided to hold dear the operational part of the wedding once the leak about Harry not attending made the papers.”
Another reason Harry and Meghan have decided to sit it out, according to a source, was to keep from overshadowing the beautiful occasion with needless drama and to “avoid royal tensions” becoming the order of the day.

The 33-year-old aristocrat and businessman, Hugh Grosvenor, has been longtime friends of both Prince William and Harry, and it is said that while he doesn’t want to pick a side, he wishes both brothers would resolve things amicably.

“It’s incredibly sad it has come to this,” a friend of the princes previously told the Sunday Times. “Hugh is one of the very few close friends of William and Harry’s who has maintained strong bonds and a line of communication with both. He wishes they could put their heads together and patch things up, but realises it’s unlikely to happen before the wedding.”

On June 7, Hugh Grosvenor will tie the knot with Olivia Henson, 31, at Chester Cathedral in front of 400 guests. Also missing the occasion are the King and Queen, but for totally different reasons.
