GH Spoilers: Valentin And Anna’s Paths Cross-Is There Hope For Reconciliation?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers and updates tease Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) paths will cross. Is there hope for a ‘Vanna’ reconciliation?

General Hospital Spoilers – Broken Up Over Charlotte Cassadine’s Issues

A few months back, Anna and Valentin came to an impasse over Charlotte Cassadine’s (Scarlett Fernandez) issues with Anna.

Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) had weaponized her against both her father and Anna, quite possibly brainwashing the girl in the process.

Valentin wasn’t forthcoming with Anna about Charlotte’s issues, even though he knew she was the one who broke into her Metro Court suite and vandalized it.

Valentin also knew that Charlotte had tarot cards Victor gave her and knew they’d been used to brainwash others-Peter August (Wes Ramsey) controlled Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) with tarot cards.

He didn’t tell Anna any of this out of fear that he would lose her-and ultimately, he did.

GH Spoilers – It All Came To A Head Halloween Night

It all came to a head on Halloween night, when Anna observed a dark figure in the apartment she’d moved into-expecting an old enemy, but it was Charlotte.

Charlotte turned around to shine a flashlight and Anna thought it was a gun and shot her, following her training, and couldn’t forgive herself knowing she’d shot a child-Valentin’s child.

Now a few months have gone by and hopefully both father and daughter are older and wiser; and Charlotte has been in deep therapy, possibly deprogramming.

Charlotte’s attacks on Anna were out of a need to protect her father, reinforced by Victor’s letters when he had her in a boarding school overseas.

A deep rift of distrust formed in Anna concerning Valentin-and he knew he should have leveled with her from the start; perhaps if he had, the shooting would never have happened.

General Hospital Spoilers – Can This Former Couple Find Their Way Back?

Valentin had been in love with Anna, if only afar, since WSB spy school when he suffered from severe scoliosis and went by the name Ivan Theodore.

In later years he found out that part of the time he thought he’d been involved with Anna it was really her twin Alexandra Marick (Finola Hughes).

She’d impersonated her sister for many years as a DVX agent, and the memory transfer experiments didn’t help; Anna dealt with confused memories for many years.

Since she and Valentin broke up, Anna has much more information on who might have been targeting her and the corrupt WSB director’s been put away. Will the love Valentin still has for Anna pierce her self-protection enough that they can try for a new start?
