GH Spoilers: With Jagger Back, Fans Are Wondering If Stone Could Be Alive

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal John ‘Jagger’ Cates (Adam Harrington) is back on the scene kicking up dust and old memories, and it’s got longtime GH fans wondering if there is more in store from the Cates family.

We remember precisely how the longstanding feud between Jagger and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) came to be, and how pivotal Stone Cates (Michael Sutton) was in both of their lives. 

Jagger has never forgiven Sonny for pulling Stone into his dark and seedy world — a move Jagger ultimately credits with leading to Stone’s untimely death from AIDS.

It would be a real plot twist if it somehow turned out that Stone was alive and well, but what are the odds of that actually happening? Not good, friends.

Stone’s passing left its mark on the people of Port Charles — some of them more than others.

His homecoming — and the realization that he never really died — would turn lives upside down in more ways than one.

If Stone was suddenly alive, that would have to be mean he’s been stowed away somewhere all of this time.

It’s unlikely that he would’ve taken himself out of the equation, which means he may have been held hostage against his will — for nearly three decades. Yes, that’s more than unbelievable, even for GH.

GH Spoilers – Tease Jagger Carries A Grudge

Currently, Jagger and Sonny are certain to go head-to-head as they combat their feelings toward one another in Stone’s absence. Nothing is likely to mend fences between these two.

Jagger will always see Sonny as the gateway to the end of his brother’s life, and there is no undoing what has been done.

Sonny likes to paint over the past and exempt himself from responsibility at times, and Jagger probably isn’t going to take kindly to that. But in Sonny’s defense, he’s more than paid for his role in Stone’s undoing.

General Hospital Spoilers — Stone’s Memory Has More Meaning

While it’s a lovely thought — imaging that Stone was one of the many who didn’t really die — there isn’t much waiting for him in Port Charles anymore. Robin Scorpio Drake (Kimberly McCullough) has long since moved on and has a family.

Sonny has moved on with his life as well, though he would certainly be ready to welcome Stone back into the fold with open arms.

The weight of Stone’s death and the storyline surrounding it were more impactful than any kind of resurrection could ever be.

As painful as it is, sometimes we really do have to say goodbye forever to some of our GH favorites, and Stone is added to that long list.
