American Idol Alum Tristan Harper Marries Expects A Baby

American Idol saw the last of Katy Perry who took a long hiatus and Tristan Harper found favor with her. Unfortunately, the 15-year-old made it right through to the Top 5, but then he was eliminated from Season 22. Recently, he announced his wedding to Paris Reed, and next, the news arrived that they were expecting their first baby together.

American Idol Alum Tristan Harper Has  A Promising Future

Not every winner or Top 5 contestant on American Idol makes a successful career for themselves in the world of music. But certainly, Tristan seemed chockful of talent. Perhaps like Laine Hardy, he might return for another shot at being the winner. But for now, he’s probably got other things on his mind. After all, he and his wife are pretty much still kids themselves and soon they will welcome their own child.

The news that Tristan Harper and Paris Reed expect a baby arrived via his mom, Hattie M. Sullivan, four days ago. Hattie didn’t seem at all worried about pregnancy or the marriage. Instead, the mom of the reality TV contestant seemed upbeat and seemingly intended to stand by her son and his choices.

In her caption which arrived with a photo of the young couple, Hattie wrote:

Now Everybody has congratulated me on Triston and Paris getting married but to me that is old news. Now I’m bout to be a ‘G Ma.

Well, people already saw that American Idol alum Tristan Harper, now 16,  announced his wedding, and they seemed surprised to hear about the bundle of joy coming along the line.

American Idol Fans React To The News

When E! News shared the bump news on Instagram, plenty of reality TV fans responded to the post. It must be said that Tristan looked completely delighted about the news that he would become a dad soon. Here are some of the reactions by American Idol fans:

• They can’t vote. Play the lottery. Have a single alcoholic beverage. But they’re allowed to get married and procreate? Who said this was a good idea?
• So sad seeing kids having kids. If they only knew the struggle.
• Are we somehow supposed to be excited about this because he was on American Idol?? I’m so confused as to the relevance.
• 16, a baby and wife????
• American Idol collab with 16 & pregnant.
• 16??? Married and having kid??? Where are the parents in this situation?
• Pretty sad that these teens don’t have any idea how difficult it is to raise a child, especially when they are so young. SMH They have taken a hard road to adulthood.
