Originally from Italy, Cleo, 32, lives in London and works as a model while she continues her studies. She met Christian, 27, on social media and they were friends for a year. However, despite criticism from his family, he decided he wanted to date the TLC reality star. Meanwhile, this led to Cleo having a rough time getting to know him, as in person, he struggled to accept her transgender identity.

While she has been sharing updates on her life following the TLC reality show, one recent post sounded like it was a goodbye to her loved ones. While it was supposed to be a “love letter” to those she loves, she didn’t realize how people would react.

I have been subjected to in real life transphobia lately and I guess I pretended it was ok but I ended up internalizing it a lot.

Meanwhile, Cleo explained that the hate doesn’t just come from social media. While the online messages can be heavy, what she experienced in person placed her in a “dark place.” She added that a lot happens in her personal life that she doesn’t share online.

Meanwhile, Cleo posted another Instagram Story, once again apologizing to any fans who were upset. She stressed the post wasn’t meant to get attention and is sad that “going forward,” people will still have access to that post via the Internet.
