The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal Victor putting his foot down with Nick, but things might not go as the patriarch had hoped.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Battling Newman Sons
The Great Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) finally has what he wants — Tucker McCall’s (Trevor St. John) company. It has taken months and months for him to get his hands on McCall Unlimited.
It didn’t help that Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) tried to sabotage him along the way and that Tucker wanted the company to end up with Devon Hamilton (Bryton James). Victor won and Victor knows what he wants — both of his sons to work together.
The company was originally going to go solely to Adam Newman so Victor could make up for Victoria’s cruelty when she took Adam’s job away and then fired Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope), as well, so she could install Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) in the CEO position at Newman Media. But Victor has different plans now and discusses them with Nick Newman over at meal at Society.
“Victor has sort of accepted that Nick doesn’t want to be CEO of anything, but Victor knows that Nick gets things done as Victoria’s COO,” Joshua Morrow said in the May 1, 2023, issue of Soap Opera Digest. “Victor knows that Nick can provide the same support as Adam’s COO.”
But, will he want to do it? Does Victor even care if he wants to do it?
Y&R Spoilers – That’s Not All Victor Newman Wants
Nick soon learns dead old dad doesn’t just want him to work with Adam — he wants him to understand Adam and his true feelings for Sally Spectra. Victor doesn’t believe Nick loves Sally as much as Adam does and that just leaves Nick ticked off.
“Every person in Nick’s family diminishes his affection for Sally,” Morrow said. “He’s crazy about her.”
After Nick tells Victor his feelings, he also drops a bomb on him about the gender of Sally’s baby. A new granddaughter is on her way. Then, Nick promptly walks out.
Will that make Victor rethink his plans? Probably not, as Victor always thinks he is right — and in some cases he actually is. Stay tuned to The Young and the Restless weekdays to see how these stories play out.
