The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers document that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) has some time. She can keep her secret from Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), hoping he does not learn she is pregnant by soapy happenstance.
Sally wants Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) to be the father of her child. Nick is on-board with that and is giving the woman he loves time to deal with the recent baby news.
But Adam is the most suspicious person Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) knows. Many viewers likely agree with that assessment and believe that Adam is bound to determine or learn what Sally is trying to keep from him.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Use Of Calendar And Logic Produces Two Options
Yes, Sally will have her child approximately nine months from whenever she became pregnant. Fans saw Hope’s character reviewing her calendar in the recent past, with Sally’s conclusion indicating Adam was the likely father.
However, Nick and Sally were romantically involved at that time in the plot. That gives her plausible doubt about paternity. She has not asked Nick to take a paternity test for somewhat murky reasons.
Sally did admit to having a final farewell with Adam. Nick is not naive and likely also assumes he or his brother could be the father of the child to be born late in the summer.
Y&R Spoilers – Nine Months Is Not The Time Frame
It is too early for Sally to be physically showing. But, as Chloe advised, she will not be able to hide this secret for long.
Hope’s character values her great physical appearance. Sally is in shape. So, trying to blame initial weight gain on a bad diet and a lack of exercise due to a focus on the new company she and Chloe are creating will likely fail.
It is reasonable to assume that Adam or anyone else will see that Sally is pregnant by the kiss of winter to spring. So, Sally’s comment to Chloe, about not being able to deal with Adam’s prodding for nine months, is naive.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Adam Newman’s Fatherhood Makes Sense
Sure, this storyline can be believably presented in two directions. Nick is the man Sally wants. Adam was dumped and will have to accept that his older brother is the father, but only after a test result confirms that reality.
However, Adam will never accept Sally’s word if she claims the child is Nick’s without having a paternity test to back it up. The drama surrounding a forced test would be good soap, with the characters and audience waiting for the results.
Adam would seem to be the odds-on favorite to be the father in any scenario. But this is soap, and many episodes are needed before that answer is available on Y&R.
