Y&R Spoilers: Jack’s Gullibility Is Outrageous – Phyllis And Jeremy Zeroing In On Diane

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers document that Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) speech about Genoa City, Wisconsin, would have been great if he did not end it by announcing his engagement to Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters). Doing so reinforced his gullibility.

Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) watched Jack and Diane after they entered the jazz club. It appeared as though Bergman’s character requested that everyone in the bar area accompany him and his fiance to the room Victor and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) remade to honor the late Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John) so that as many people as possible, including the Moustache, could hear the so-called party favor announcement.

Jack was too far away to hear Victor predict that Jack and Diane would go down in flames in the future. But based on their shared backstories, Victor’s assessment is likely apt.

Diane has triumphed over Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). Summer Newman Abbott (Allison Lanier) heard her mother repeat a line she has been offering in recent weeks.

Phyllis feels Diane is responsible for her downfall, specifically causing the break with Summer and Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei). Diane became enraged in the Genoa City Athletic Club suite Phyllis lured her to, realizing that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) was not sick as Phyllis claimed.

But Diane does not realize Phyllis and Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) are setting her up for fall. Teasers indicate they are plotting Phyllis’ faked death, with Diane framed for it.

Y7R Spoilers – A Very Suite Scene Indeed

Kudos to the writing staff for getting Diane into the GCAC suite with Phyllis. Stafford’s character really let her nemesis have it.

But Jack, Kyle, and Summer did not witness Phyllis push Diane onto the sofa. Instead, they entered when Diane had her fingers on Phyllis’ neck and threatened to strangle her.

Of course, good soapy timing helped Phyllis execute that step of her diabolical plot. But even though Jack witnessed his renewed love’s violent side, he later exonerated her of any blame. As Phyllis told Summer, she has been unable to make anyone acknowledge Diane’s dark side.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Jeremy Stark Orchestrating Disaster

Jeremy’s pick of Kyle’s and Jack’s pockets netted him the smartphone and engagement ring respectively. Both items were vital to the final goal.

Stealing Kyle’s phone prevented him from receiving Diane’s text. The precursor led to Jack not having Diane’s engagement ring.

Teasers indicate that the ring will be used as physical evidence that makes Diane appear guilty of Phyllis’ apparent death. But Phyllis will not be able to play dead indefinitely, with the logic of her endgame highly questionable on Y&R.
