Y&R Spoilers: Devon Implements His Father’s Advice?

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers document that Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) discovered the connection between his father and Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver). He pounced on it to create the first change at Chancellor-Winters.

Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and her brother have not enjoyed a smooth transition from the Hamilton-Winters group to CW since agreeing to the merger. The initial public offering plan that Jill Abbott Atkinson (Jess Walton) and Lily have been pushing may be both greenlighted and altered.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Devon Hamilton Suspicious From Day One

Tucker McCall’s (Trevor St. John) gutsy return to Genoa City, Wisconsin, was not welcomed by anyone. Devon reacted with suspicion, not knowing why his biological father was back in town.

Devon initially suspected that Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) was working with Tucker to take control of CW. But that proved false, as Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) was the culprit.

So, Devon let Tucker have access to him and Dominic Newman Abbott Winters Chancellor (Rainn and River Ware). But the cautious relationship that was developing was soon to fail.

Y&R Spoilers – Making Business Personal Is Messy

Devon told Tucker on more than one occasion he did not want to discuss business matters with him. James’ character has become cynical since inheriting the bulk of his grandmother’s (Katherine Chancellor, Jeanne Cooper) estate. Of course, the Grande Dame was Tucker’s mother.

Longtime fans know that Devon’s childhood was rough, and that Drucilla Winters (Victoria Rowell) and Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John) opened their hearts to him through adoption. Meaningful shows from those days gone by included the then youthful Devon having a hard time adjusting from the street life his addicted mother, Yolanda Hamilton (last played by Debbi Morgan), forced him to live.

Viewers appreciate James’ on-screen growth, as this actor has developed great acting chops. Today’s version of Devon never loses sight of who that young man was and that impacts Tucker.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Tucker McCall Will Not Stop

Tucker did not anticipate being exposed by Devon and simultaneously losing Ashley Abbott’s (Eileen Davidson) trust in the process. It seems more likely that Tucker could reestablish a bond with Ashley before Devon at this point in the plot.

But Tucker will not stop pursuing a rapprochement with his son, no matter how long it takes. When Devon cools down, he may take his portion of CW back and potentially even partner with Tucker. But that particular path will be narrow on Y&R.
