The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) have just lost their unborn baby. The tension between them is palpable as they try to grieve an incomprehensible loss. Both parents are suffering tremendously but Sally is blaming Adam for the death, making his journey even darker.

Adam had to make a decision to save mom or baby when Sally was wheeled into emergency surgery and he put Sally’s life first. Sadly the child didn’t survive and now Sally is treating him like a piece of dirt over what has transpired, as if the whole situation is his fault.

Mark Grossman shared a pic taken with an eerie red filter on his Instagram story that indicated he was in character as Adam. Adam has always lived in the shadows and now it appears that a return to the dark side is coming up.

Adam’s life has been full of torment as the black sheep son of Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), with his siblings resenting him in general—unless he’s harvesting organs for their kids.

But now Adam is the CEO of McCall Unlimited and has total autonomy. That kind of power is intoxicating and he may take full advantage of his new role to annihilate Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic).

Then again with Victoria falling into another man ho trap at work, Adam could find himself in charge all alone at the top, giving him even more power and control.

Think about it, what would Adam do in his current state of mind if he suddenly found himself in the Newman Enterprises CEO seat?!

It would be just like Adam to try and soothe his worried mind by snuffing out rivals and sending clear messages to his enemies.

We can totes see him turning nasty and taking out his anger at those around him. His moral code is shaky at best, so the next few days will be telling in terms of what Adam does to self soothe.
