But Ashley Abbott’s (Eileen Davidson) duplicitous request, that Abby secretly join her in the fight against Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters), has Ordway’s character more concerned than ever.

Devoted fans recall that three characters who are not friends united in the recent past. Ashley, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) allied with the sole purpose of bringing down Diane.

Their hope to make everyone realize that Diane had not changed and should be shunned backfired badly. Phyllis eventually felt compelled to frame Diane for her faked murder, with Stafford’s character now facing serious jail time unless she can coerce her way out of it.

Phyllis’ actions were driven by her retained rivalry over Diane’s new husband, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman).

Nikki was framed by Diane, who faked death years ago. Ashley’s beef involves Tucker being involved with Diane during their first marriage.

Y&R Spoilers – Tucker McCall Wanted No Conflict

Tucker worked for months to sway Ashley away from conflict with Diane. But his true love would not relent.

So, Tucker decided to push a new business venture that he dubbed Simply Ashley. Davidson’s character was interested but decided that she should take her intellectual property from Jabot to the new business they would start.

The high-stakes game Jack and Diane are playing involves a crooked idea the new Mrs. Abbott had. Diane asked Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) if he would be their Trojan Horse.

Billy went along with the faked falling out with Jack and is now pretending to be on Ashley’s side. But an immediate problem developed because his sister wants him to pretend to relent and fake being in support of Jack.

Jack and Ashley have run hot and cold with each other since they were kids. Their rivalry is something that caused their father, John Abbott (Jerry Douglas), great pains.

Ashley is risking alienating herself from Jack if she follows through with her plan to separate Diane from Jabot using any means necessary. But Ashley could also lose out on an opportunity to rekindle the love that Tucker has reaffirmed for her on Y&R.
