GH Spoilers: Bobbie Is Gone, But Carly’s Latest Move Carries On Her Legacy

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) is the proud new owner of Kelly’s Diner — one of Port Charles’ most beloved waterfront dining establishments. Whether it’s a piece of pie, a coffee to go, or Heather Webber’s (Alley Mills) longtime favorite — a BLT — Kelly’s has always served up service with a smile. Now, it’ll be Carly’s smile behind the counter — at least for the foreseeable future.

Given that Laura Wright dished that the storyline for Carly to buy the diner from Bobbie Spencer (Jaclyn Zeman) was planned long before Jaclyn Zeman ever passed, it’s almost as though a higher power knew better when those scenes were being penned. We know Bobbie’s mirrored death has to be headed for Port Chuck soon, and it’s going to leave Carly with all the more reason to see to it that the changes she makes at Kelly’s honor her mother’s legacy.

While the Spencer ladies didn’t launch this dining establishment from the get-go, Carly’s aunt, Ruby Anderson (Norma Connolly) became the proud new owner in 1984 — and the rest is history. This place has churned out love from the Spencer family ever since. Bobbie has run the place on autopilot for a long time, and before he left town and later fell ill, Mike Corbin (Max Gail) was her right-hand man, managing the place to perfection. Cameron ‘Cam’ Webber (William Lipton) recently filled the same role for several years before hopping off to California to play soccer on a scholarship at Stanford. Will Carly find someone suitable to be her Mike or Cam?

Rumors have been running wild that Cam might come home to help Carly relaunch and get the place off the ground in a whole new way. That would certainly have the potential to upset Josslyn ‘Joss’ Jacks’ (Eden McCoy) life — and her current relationship with Dex Heller (Evan Hofer). If we’re being honest, Carly probably wouldn’t be too upset about that. Nonetheless, it’s also possible that someone new is going to help Carly turn the place into the best version of itself it’s ever been. But who?
